Italy ~ 2026!

Hello To, All My Readers Follower and My Blogging Friends ❤

Hope you all are keeping well. I am going to write about Italy to give more information about where about in Europe and about it.The capital is Rome, one of the oldest of the world’s great cities and a favorite of visitors, who go there to see its great monuments and works of art as well as to enjoy the city’s famed dolce vita, or “sweet life.” Other major cities include the industrial and fashion center of MilanGenoa, a handsome port on the Ligurian Gulf; the sprawling southern metropolis of Naples; and Venice, one of the world’s oldest tourist destinations. Surrounded by Rome is an independent state, Vatican City, which is the seat of the Roman Catholic Church and the spiritual home of Italy’s overwhelmingly Catholic population. Each of those cities, and countless smaller cities and towns, has retained its differences against the leveling effect of the mass media and standardized education. Thus, many Italians, particularly older ones, are inclined to think of themselves as belonging to families, then neighborhoods, then towns or cities, then regions, and then, last, as members of a nation.

Italycountry of south-central Europe, occupying a peninsula that juts deep into the Mediterranean Sea. Italy comprises some of the most varied and scenic landscapes on Earth and is often described as a country shaped like a boot. At its broad top stand the Alps, which are among the world’s most rugged mountains. Italy’s highest points are along Monte Rosa, which peaks in Switzerland, and along Mont Blanc, which peaks in France. The western Alps overlook a landscape of Alpine lakes and glacier-carved valleys that stretch down to the Po River and the PiedmontTuscany, to the south of the cisalpine region, is perhaps the country’s best-known region. From the central Alps, running down the length of the country, radiates the tall Apennine Range, which widens near Rome to cover nearly the entire width of the Italian peninsula. South of Rome the Apennines narrow and are flanked by two wide coastal plains, one facing the Tyrrhenian Sea and the other the Adriatic Sea. Much of the lower Apennine chain is near-wilderness, hosting a wide range of species rarely seen elsewhere in western Europe, such as wild boars, wolves, asps, and bears. The southern Apennines are also tectonically unstable, with several active volcanoes, including Vesuvius, which from time to time belches ash and steam into the air above Naples and its island-strewn bay. At the bottom of the country, in the Mediterranean Sea, lie the islands of Sicily and Sardinia.

Italy’s political geography has been conditioned by this rugged landscape. With few direct roads between them, and with passage from one point to another traditionally difficult, Italy’s towns and cities have a history of self-sufficiency, independence, and mutual mistrust. Visitors today remark on how unlike one town is from the next, on the marked differences in cuisine and dialect, and on the many subtle divergences that make Italy seem less a single nation than a collection of culturally related points in an uncommonly pleasing setting.

Land of Italy

To the north the Alps separate Italy from FranceSwitzerlandAustria, and Slovenia. Elsewhere Italy is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, in particular by the Adriatic Sea to the northeast, the Ionian Sea to the southeast, the Tyrrhenian Sea to the southwest, and the Ligurian Sea to the northwest. Areas of plain, which are practically limited to the great northern triangle of the Po valley, cover only about one-fifth of the total area of the country; the remainder is roughly evenly divided between hilly and mountainous land, providing variations to the generally temperate climate.

Across a span of more than 3,000 years, Italian history has been marked by episodes of temporary unification and long separation, of intercommunal strife and failed empires. At peace for more than half a century now, Italy’s inhabitants enjoy a high standard of living and a highly developed culture.

I hope you have got good knowledge about Italy from what I have posted with pictures and written information

Rains Snow and Ice in the Sahara Dessert!

Hello to My Readers Followers and Blogging Friends ❤

Hope all of you keeping well and looking forward to year 2025. I am amazed at how 2024 has flown by. And now A Miracle!

While most of us have been experiencing extreme climatic conditions, it’s the people living in the Sahara Desert who were in for a surprise. Not only rains that made Rivers and Lakes,

Snow has fallen in the Sahara, covering desert dunes in a layer up to 16 inches deep. Global warming has already started changing the way we look at the world.
A result of a freaky winter storm, residents of Ain Sefra, a small town in Algeria, saw the red sand dunes surrounding their homes coated with snow after intense snowfall hit the Sahara Desert turning into a winter wonderland.
It is the third time in nearly 40 years the town, known as “The Gateway to the Desert”, has seen snowfall. Although the snowfall is a sign of drastic change in the climatic condition, the pictures are beautiful.

It is the third time in nearly 40 years the town, known as “The Gateway to the Desert”, has seen snowfall. Although the snowfall is a sign of drastic change in the climatic condition, the pictures are beautiful.

Local residents quickly flocked the sand dunes on the brink of the town, sharing photos and videos on social media showing vivid orange dunes dusted with snow. Residents of Ain Sefra, usually used to extreme heat that can reach well over 104 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer months, wore long coats and scarves while climbing the peaks.

According to Forbes magazine, snowfall in the Sahara Desert was recorded just three times in the past four decades – in 1979, 2016 and 2017. While local residents making the most out of the unusual snowfall in Sahara, with children making snowmen and sliding on the dunes, local roads saw traffic slow down and intercity bus companies cancelling their schedules. Local residents quickly flocked the sand dunes on the brink of the town, sharing photos and videos on social media showing vivid orange dunes dusted with snow. Rainfall is usually very low and/or concentrated in short bursts between long rainless periods. Evaporation rates regularly exceed rainfall rates. Sometimes rain starts falling and evaporates before reaching the ground. Rainfall is lowest on the Atacama Desert of Chile, where it averages less than 1.5 cm. Inland Sahara also receives less than 1.5 cm a year. Rainfall in American deserts is higher—almost 28 cm a year.
