Hope All of You are keeping in Good Health as much as possible. And “Keeping yourself Positive and Motivated as Best as possible in these times” of Health issues. I have been writing about Various ways of Therapies to Become Well” And after I wrote about The Therapies itself, and Today “I am writing about Positive psychology” 🙂 

Positive psychology is the scientific study of what makes life most worth living, focusing on both individual and societal well-being. It studies “positive subjective experience, positive individual traits, and positive institutions…it aims to improve quality of life.” It is a field of study that has been growing steadily throughout the years as individuals and researchers look for common ground on better well-being.

Basic concepts

Positive psychology is concerned with a Greek word meaning “good spirit”. It is considered an essential element for the pursuit of happiness and a good life. It emphasizes cherishing that which holds the greatest value in life and other such factors that contribute the most to having a good life. While not attempting a strict definition of what makes up a good life, positive psychologists agree that one must be happy, engaged, and meaningful with their experiences. “The good life” as using your signature strengths every day to produce authentic happiness and abundant gratification.

Positive psychology focuses on an Ancient Greek term for “the good life” and the concept for reflection on the factors that contribute the most to a well-lived and fulfilling life. Positive psychologists often use the terms subjective well-being and happiness interchangeably.

Positive psychologists have suggested a number of factors may contribute to happiness and subjective well-being. For example, social ties with a spouse, family, friends, colleagues, and wider networks; membership in clubs or social organizations; physical exercise; and the practice of meditation. Spirituality can also be considered a factor that leads to increased individual happiness and well-being. Spiritual practice and religious commitment is a topic researchers have been studying as another possible source for increased well-being and an added part of positive psychology. Happiness may rise with increasing financial income, though it may plateau or even fall when no further gains are made or after a certain cut-off amount.

All therapy should focus on cultivating positive aspects of a person and how they engage with the world and others around them so that they may start to uncover areas of growth and begin to move toward their full authentic potential.

Positive psychology complements, without intending to replace the traditional fields of psychology. Emphasizing the study of positive human development, could enhance our application and understanding in other fields. More specifically, those which are more clinical and scientific-based. Since they may produce a limited perspective and understanding. Positive psychology has also placed a significant emphasis on fostering positive self-esteem and self-image. Although positive psychologists, with a less humanist direction, focus less on such topics.

Those who practice positive psychology attempt psychological interventions that foster positive attitudes toward one’s subjective experiences, individual traits, and life events. The goal is to minimize pathological thoughts that may arise in a hopeless mindset and to develop a sense of optimism toward life. Positive psychologists seek to encourage acceptance of one’s past, excitement and optimism about one’s future experiences, and a sense of contentment and well-being in the present.[19]

Related concepts are happinesswell-beingquality of lifecontentment, and meaningful life.

Happiness: Has been sought after and discussed throughout time. Research has concluded that happiness can be thought of in the way we act and how we think in relative terms to it.

Well-Being: Has often been referred to what is inherently good for an individual both physically and mentally, though other aspects could be added in to define well-being.

Quality of life: Quality of life encompasses more than just physical and mental well-being; it can also include socioeconomic factors. However, there is a cultural difference with this term, as it can be perceived differently in different cultures and regions around the world. In the simplest of terms, this is how well you are living and functioning in life.

Positive psychotherapy is one such therapeutic model that has aimed to reorient the therapeutic approach to be more focused on supporting clients to use their inner resources to overcome challenges, understand and recognize areas of growth, and focus instead on working toward resilience and a greater sense of wellbeing.

Positive psychotherapy (PPT) is a relatively new therapeutic approach, influenced by both the humanistic and psychodynamic approaches to diagnosis and treatment. Its core focus is on moving away from what’s ‘wrong’ with an individual and toward what’s good and positive. 🙂

While the emphasis is on positivity and positive outcomes, the overall theory of PPT also asserts that Many core principles need to be addressed to allow this to happen:

  1. Hope: This principle encourages focus on the overall positivity of humanity, and negative experiences are to be seen as having a higher purpose with a positive reframing. Therapists encourage clients to explore any disruptions to a sense of wellbeing and reframe them as signals that there is an imbalance that requires addressing.
  2. Balance: This principle examines how we experience discontent and the coping methods we use to address it. According to PPT, negative symptoms arise when these coping methods aren’t working and our areas of life are out of balance, with discontent impacting how we think and feel.

Therapy ~ Sound!

Hello To My Dear Readers, Blogging Friends and Followers ❤

Hope All of You are keeping in Good Health as much as possible. And “Keeping yourself Positive and Motivated as Best as possible in these times”. I am redoing some of the articles in “Different Ways” for the benefit of the new followers and also with more information and more colour. With much more Positive feelings at this time of my Life with “Healing Energies I am receiving”. Today I am writing about, “Sound Therapy. I hope You will find the post, “Interesting as well as Informative”. I am doing reference for added knowledge as well as writing, “What I know and Have Experienced so far” 🙂

Music has been used as a tool of healing since ancient times, appearing in the writings of the Greek philosophers Pythagoras, Aristotle, and Plato. Native Americans and other indigenous groups have used music to enhance traditional healing practices for centuries.

Sound has been shared as a “Healing in ancient cultures around the planet for over 40,000 years. We are full of “Energy” which sound is also Energy. Sound connects us to, “Our Feelings, Memories and Thoughts. Sounds are with so Many times in our lives like, Celebrations and Ceremonies. It is used as A Relaxation Therapy for healing. The correct Sounds and Soothing to the ears is what helps us to Energizes as well as Relax and Reduce Stress.

What is Sound Healing?  All bodies vibrate at different frequencies, according to their nature and location. The Earth vibrates at it’s own frequency. Sound Healing is the ability to use frequencies to harmonize vibrations to create healing environments within our own bodies and within the Earth.  Sound is the energy. Sound is vibration. And sound can affect our moods, our health, and our lives. Some sounds soothe us while other sounds energize us. Singing bowls produce sounds in multiple octaves, noted to have healing and relaxing effects on the body/mind. Tuning forks and Tuning Chimes focus on single sounds to align chakra energies and free the flow of body energy.  Music creates different moods for peace & joy and gives Space for your life to Flow. 

Some of the “Therapeutic Sound Tools are, “The Drum, Gongs, Crystal Sound Bowls, Tuning Forks, and of course The Voices itself”. Brass or various type of Cymbals. Can use both hands or one hand like below!

The crackling or rustling Sounds. This can be a deeply relaxing activity during the fall season. Running on Dry Leaves also makes Sound and You feel Very Free and can be Deeply Relaxing and Fun. Even in Water. Swimming or playing in Water. There are so many things in Nature that are Free These are things many do not realize also. Think and see How Many Other things you can find about Sound. Wink 😀

Here are Lots of Musical Instruments. You can pick a very simple one or how your personality is or maybe for the time being what ever you can find. It doesn’t have to be expensive. Even make one at home is “Creativity” See some of the things like the Drumming can be done with anything inside or outside. Below is a chart to experiment 🙂

Sound is a basis for our lives and sense of hearing develops first. Tuning forks, Crystal Singing bowls all bring comfort and stress reduction to the person listening.

Therapy ~ Relaxation!

I Hope All of You are in Good Health, and “Keeping yourself Positive and Motivated as Best as possible in these times”. Today I am writing about “Therapies in Relaxation”. Find a place where you won’t be disturbed, where you can lower the lights and let your mind relax. It is best to do the exercise sitting rather than lying down. There are periods of quietness ❤

Relaxation therapy refers to a number of ways to teach someone to be able to relax voluntarily means on Their own~ Freely. These techniques or ways, special breathing practices and muscle relaxation exercises, which are done to reduce physical and mental tension.


They are shown in a number of techniques or ways of stress reduction, taking off the tension throughout the body and a peaceful state of mind. Different methods of relaxation; breathing exercises and guided imagery and visualization techniques; biofeedback, water therapy, color therapy, etc. Many techniques employ the use of repetition through words, sounds, phrases, prayer, body sensations and coordinated muscle movements. There are a number of other activities that can promote relaxation, including massagelistening to musicyoga and meditation.

Muscle tension is usually associated with stress and anxiety, which are strongly associated with Low Moods also called depression and mental and muscle tension, and learning to voluntarily (on your own) to let go of this tension.


There have been a number of ways on the effect of relaxation therapy for people with low moods that is also called depression. In general, these studies have found that relaxation therapy works, such as cognitive behaviour therapy.


Cognitive Behaviour Therapy: Therapists help clients on how they, “Construct reality (how they tell about their journey) and examine the Implications and Conclusions clients draw from their own experiences” Telling about the of The Rest of The Journey ~ What They did to Survive and Cope ~ bolster clients Strengths and Help Them Develop Resilient behaviours. In this way, “Clients can Move from being Clients to ~ “Strong Willed Survivors”.

1. Are clients now able to describe “A New Life Story about themselves and the World”?
2. Do clients now use more Positive Metaphors to Describe Themselves?
3. Are clients now able to “Predict high-risk situations and Employ Coping Skills in emerging problems”?
4. Are clients able to “Take Credit for the changes”, “They have been able to bring about”?

In Successful Therapy Clients, “Develop Their Own Voices Take Pride in what They have Accomplished, and “Take Ownership of The Changes they are bringing about”. In short, “CLIENTS BECOME THEIR OWN THERAPISTS and TAKE THE THERAPISTS VOICE WITH THEM ❤

Community groups often run relaxation classes. There are also therapists who teach relaxation, who can be found in the Relaxation Therapy. Books and audio files giving instructions in relaxation therapy are available from bookshops and online. Find a place where you won’t be disturbed, where you can lower the lights and let your mind relax. It is best to do the exercise sitting rather than lying down. There are periods of quietness.
