So many have appreciated and given a good response to my first article, End The Stigma ~ Discrimination Stops with You! that I am bringing you further information and proof that, we need to end the stigma on, “Mental Health” and see that those who need help in making their minds well, are free and able to seek medical help, and become well and be healthy and happy people, to be an asset to the progress of the society and the world. We all know that, the mind is also in our body and we need to have both our body and mind in good health to be able to lead a normal and happy life, for ourselves and to be of help to others. We do take care of our eyes, teeth and other parts of our body isn’t it. So why not the mind too ❤

What some people are not aware is that even as children, those who become unwell or have certain issues while growing up, they need to have medical help. Or they will grow up to be sick and confused adults, not knowing who they are and what they need to do in their lives and become a problem to their families, the society and the world!

All walks of life are concerned, and so many are working towards a society and a world of people who are healthy in their mind as well as the body. This includes even, “The Royal Family” who are openly working in public and even has a “Face Book page” dedicated to this cause, named, “Heads Together”!

Those of you who are reading, and seeing all these posts, now need to be able to feel that, “YOU ARE NOT ALONE” ~ “YOU ARE JUST LIKE ANY OTHER HUMAN BEING” ~ “YOU ARE VALUABLE” and do not be shy or afraid to go to a doctor, or some medical help anytime you have issues with your mind. “IT IS NOT BEING MAD” as some people think. “IT IS JUST THAT YOUR MIND ALSO HAS THE RIGHT TO BE A LITTLE ILL and NEED SOME MEDICATION and LOVING KINDNESS” ~ “IT IS YOUR LIFE AND IT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU” ~ “YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF” ❤

I hope you all enjoyed reading the first two articles on the chakras. I am taking a break and writing on a very important topic which is about the, “Stigma in Mental Health” The reason I thought of writing this topic is, now after almost 5 years since it was declared that, “I have come back to normal”, there are some who are still trying to classify me as unwell. The hilarious part is, this is to do with some people in my family, that my eye went to this quote. These people have, “No experiences, knowledge and are clueless about mental health to know that, “I have come so far in attaining knowledge not only on mental health and also on other matters in life. And now , “I am mentally healthy and also a motivator” I cannot understand how some can see me otherwise!

I have written before too, that millions world over are going through depression and other mental health problems. And the world Health Organisation has stated that depression will be the biggest cause of health burden by 2030!

In Australia alone, one is seven experience major depression in their life time. But 70% of them will not seek treatment. One of the main reasons for this is the stigma. This is actually common almost world over. But why does it have to be different from being physically sick?

When there are even Royalty and World leaders who support and work towards improving mental health and acknowledge mental illness are also, just like physical illnesses, there are some others even highly educated, who are foolish enough to be ignorant of what mental illnesses are. And this is what is causing the stigma and preventing people seeking medical help to get themselves better!

There are so many who suffer from various physical illnesses. They do get better and overcome them, even cancer goes into remission and then they go about as normal human beings. Then Why? when the mind becomes ill and becomes well and/or goes into remission they can never get over the label as mentally ill? Mind is also part of the body, it is not outside floating somewhere! Why cannot people as human beings with good brain power cannot think of this?

As someone who has completely overcome, why I am writing is, to do my duty even in a small way, in standing up for those who are going through their own problems. As, if as many as those who can speak out on behalf of the people who are in need of support and enlighten the society, the world what mental issues are, the world will be a better place with more healthy and happy people 🙂

Are you ready to support? To stand up? Or are you one of those who try to push and see others fall? But the fact is, we are all connected. All of us are energy and one goes down it affects all the others like the ripples in the water. Why is it that some are unable to support others and see them rise up? As, “We Rise by Lifting Others” Are you Ready to support to, “Stop the Stigma”? We are all soul brothers and sisters. One family that belongs to each other!

Hello To All My Dear Readers ❤

I welcome all the new bloggers, followers and readers with happiness, and a big thank you for the old and the new readers. We are growing and I am glad that so many are finding what I write useful. Most of all it gives me great pleasure in giving out my knowledge and experiences for the benefit of others welfare ❤
Its over one year since a wicked soul robbed some of my confidential documents and some other sentimental things, to confuse and upset me, knowing what my mental condition was. Against all odds I have completely overcome the situation and bounced back even stronger. I was told by my doctor that it was a good test to see how I could cope, and how strong I have become mentally, which is a great leap forward. Yes to have gone through that storm, has certainly given me more confidence and further strengthened me 🙂

We all know in life, things keep on changing and we need to adapt and change with the current situations. Each change is a challenge, a test that comes for us to overcome to go to the next level. You can take these tests as how ever you believe in, by Almighty God, The Higher powers or The Universe. All living beings even the trees and what ever in nature, the whole environment goes through these changes. Our survival depends on, “How successfully we face and adapt to these changes” 🙂

Once we have overcome these challenges, the curve balls life throws at us, we find we have come out as a different people, than before, with more strength and resilience to face even stronger challenges that come our way ❤

When life hits you hard, when you face the storms and tornadoes that come upon you, that is when you need to be most calm. Take a step back, study the situation, stay strong, stay grounded and then you are able to know exactly how to tackle the challenges and tests that come as wild weathers of destructive storms and the tornadoes. As in life there are some things, that we can only learn during a storm!

Hello To All My Dear Readers ❤

Today I am writing about what each of us are born to do, or why each of us are born for. We all know that we are all born for some specific purpose. As each one of us are different from each other, and have a unique personality of our own, our purpose is completely different to each other too. There maybe similarities, but never exactly the same. For example see how many of us write blogs here, we writers are all sorts. Each of us have our own style of writing and our own topics. Same with other things too. So how do we find or know what our purpose is? Some are born with a gift a talent. But others?

Everyone has something that they really like to do, that excites them even thinking about it. Those who love to read cannot put down a book until they have finished. Those who love to write keep on writing, and they get lost in what they do and even loose track of time. Scientists, inventors, artists and other various people work into the wee hours into the morning, or even through out the night days on end, tirelessly as they enjoy what they are doing. So all of us have what is called the passion, which leads us on our own path into our destiny 🙂

So when we follow our passion, how do we know it is the right or the wrong path. As I wrote before, passion is what keeps us moving ahead no matter what. There will be obstacles, there may be others who will not understand or/and even criticize what you are doing. But they wont understand what you like to do as it is what only you like to do. No two people do the same thing the same way!

When we are going ahead in the journey of our life, we will meet other travelers along the way. As in life we all are moving ahead doing what we like along our own paths. From time to time people will cross our paths, from some we will learn lessons while others will learn from us. Some will walk for a long way with us while others will part sooner. However it is, we end up walking alone in our path, as it is our path and ours alone 🙂

We all start walking along our path following our passion towards achieving our goals. As we go along there will be many changes along the way, as that is how life is. There will be detours, even additions to what we already want to do, and sometimes it might end up in a way, a place that we never ever dreamt of. This is the beauty of life, as life is a fascinating mystery. But to achieve all that, “We need to be brave and strong” to face all weathers along the way, as all good things require hard work, dedication and sacrifice. Although we never thought of ending up in a castle, it might be that, ultimately we have been directed to a magical place we never had thought of. Believe me it does happen 🙂

So in life, we need to put in hard work. Experience good things as well as bad things. Pain and suffering too, as it is through pain that we let go of the unwanted, to make room for the new things and people in the next level. The challenges we face make us strong and resilient to do more and better things, for ourselves and others in the world. As in the end it is not just for us, we need to make the world a better place as, “We are all one big family in The Universe” Why? Because we are all energy and part of The Universe!

Hello To All My Dear Readers 🙂

Hope all of you are well. I have not been here for a while, as I have been busy writing some other articles. So I am sorry I have not been visiting some of your blogs too. I am re-writing this article as so many have missed the old articles. We are all aware in life everyday is not the same. We keep on changing and moving ahead. Even if we do not want to change, we do grow older by the day and changes happen physically and mentally, as well as the whole environment changes around us. That is the norm of life. With that there comes challenges over and over again for us to learn how to face and overcome them, to become stronger and wiser to move on in life to the next level 🙂

Challenge 3

Once you have overcome a challenge or challenges, you need to learn from them and organize yourself, to make sure the same things do not cause problems again. For this you need to, “Let Go” of the things and people that do not work for you anymore. Letting go usually, does not mean taking a bag and going away as so many posts show. As in life you cannot leave those who are dependent on you and walk off just like that. What it means mostly is, “Letting go from the Mind” and changing and adjusting to those people and situations that you have to live in, to fit in better 🙂

Letting Go is a process. As in life from the moment we are born we are Letting Go isn’t it? First of all we let go of the womb that we grew for 9 months and entered the, seems like harsh world with a bang. From that time on wards, everything that we were born with, our hair, skin keeps on shedding and being renewed without our knowledge. Letting go is a, “Natural Process for us to, “Let Go” of the unwanted/old and move on to new that works for us” Its just like discarding our clothes that become too small for us as we grow on to our next size. Not only us it happens to animals too. Like reptiles, they too shed their whole length of outer skin from time to time. The eagle sheds all its feathers and even the beak after 40 years to renews it self for another 30 years. Then why is this, Letting Go become such a painful process ?

This is when, “We are Forced to Let Go”, “Before we are ready” Just like pulling our hair or teeth before time. In Nature, there is always, a Time for everything. When we have to, or Forced to give up anything or people before we are ready only, it becomes painful” So there is always a, “Time to Let Go” if not it is difficult and painful. But sometimes so happens in life, whether we like or not we do have to let go as we need to move on and holding on doesn’t help. And once you accept life becomes much easier and pleasant. As you have less people and things to trouble you unnecessarily!!!

Then how to make life a little easier for us, living in this complicated world? Well the most important word that comes in is, “To be prepared to Let Go” When we know our work is done and we are no more needed. Hard? Yes 🙂 But it is the reality. When people have out grown you means they have changed their vibrations, hence some of their personality and their energies. So they no longer able to fit in with the same people and live under the same roof, doing the same things. All that belongs to another era, which is called by the name, “The Past” Letting Go even if it is for the good for us is very difficult, but sometimes we have to, and once we do the relief is great. By letting go if the past you make room for the new to come in, that will ultimately lead you to new places and people whom you fit in better and belong with, to lead much satisfied and happier and fulfilled life 🙂

Hello My Dear Readers 🙂

First of all may I wish you all a Very Happy New Year !

Yes I have not written for a month, as I had to recover from a very stressful period. Suddenly life threw a very hard curve ball at me which put me quite off my track and took me almost six months to get back on my feet again. Finally I have begun to raise my head up and getting back to my usual routine. This is not due to one person or one particular event, but a series of happenings over six months, that annoyingly almost pushed me back from all the hard work in the past !!!

Challenge 3

 

These disruptions happen to all of us in different doses at the most unexpected times of our lives, that throws us off balance completely sometimes. Luckily I held on and was a very good test of my strength. I did get stressed, anxiety set in getting drowsy, but I never got depressed. So its a very big comfort to me, to know that I will never fall into that darkness again what ever life throws at me. And that I can face challenges with courage 🙂

Challenge 2

I had settled myself and was going on with my work and studies, and did not expect any major disturbance like this. With this problem suddenly, my mind jumped on to another track trying to sort out this and hence there was a clash wanting to go on with my usual routine, and the mind trying to sort out another issue at the same time. This was high stress as the mind cannot cope with, two major issues at the same time. I had to stop almost everything that I was doing and take a complete break, as I needed a clear mind to solve the problem I had in hand. Unlike dealing with people, dealing with a system, one can be completely helpless, as the systems work according to very strict rules, which almost has no room for any personal needs unless life threatening serious problems. With all what is going on from one side, in life there comes a balance too as, when one system is stressing, I have got immense support from, the medical system. “They are people who really know the value of human life. Especially those who have struggled and come up and are trying to help others” They have faith and believe in my mission, my working towards encouraging and motivating others from what I have and going through. They cannot get me out of the system, but they can safeguard me from being unduly stressed so that I can get on with my life with all what I am doing. I am so very grateful and blessed to have such wonderful and caring people by my side. I thank them all the time, and they tell me when we are doing good to others, in turn they come back to us too 🙂

“I am like a tree ravaged by burning fire which has burnt over and over with time .. yet again, Risen, stronger every time even before the rains come. I rise over and over again like the bird of fire, the Phoenix 🙂

Challenge 4

My mind is finally settling down, writing here at length itself is a sign that my mind is back on track again. We come across so much of problems, due to various reasons. With all this, I went down both mentally and physically. When you feel weak in your mind automatically your physical health goes down too, due to lack of appetite, sleep and rest. I became so stressed that I could not even concentrate on my course. Which worried me thinking if I had taken on too much too soon. But thank goodness I am able to put my mind on to it again !!!

Challenges are part and parcel of life, they come for us to face and learn more, and become stronger. That is how we move on to higher grounds. I have sat down and thought of ways how I can face them better next time. I have joined a group exercise class as doing things with others there is a different atmosphere as well companionship when one is living alone. Your good hormones start to work to make you more positive and you can lose some weight and have a better shape too 😛
There will be a next time and a next time for challenges. Every time we fall we need to rise again and again to face the world with more strength and courage. As human beings that is possible. This is the beauty of human life. We can always learn and plan better and keep on moving, becoming better and better as long as we live. Isn’t that true ?

Knowledge is enhanced when shared and it travels far and wide like the ripples all over the world, touching so many others, and lifting up the darkness and lighting their lives with colour and beauty 🙂

Hello To All My Dear Readers. 🙂

I started this blog to spread the message on mental wellness. We all go through some form of difficulties in Life. And I too have gone through mine. Due to the ups and downs I went through one after the other, suddenly the last incident pushed me to a break down, and I became a victim of depression. For fifteen years I battled depression as well as bipolar disorder. Since  middle of June 2014 I was cleared from counselling, being said that I had come back to normal by my psychiatrist. A word I never expected to have heard in my entire life. Suddenly the clouds had moved away, and out came the sun. The world opened up to me 🙂
Knowing what it is be depressed, and because of the stigma attached to it, many do not want to go for treatment, making it worse and even ending their valuable lives. Getting out of long term depression is like a miracle. There were so many who asked how and also my doctor encouraged me to write, for the benefit of others. The reason I started this blog is, I want to show the world that depression can be overcome and even Bipolar disorder can be controlled. And being mentally ill is no different to being physically ill. As mind and body are together. Mental illness also can be cured or controlled and they also can be normal as everyone to live with dignity in the world 🙂
I am studying psychology ~ counselling and psychotherapy, at the moment to give back the knowledge and experiences I acquired. But make note that, this is not exactly counselling, but this is, “My Journey on how I overcame depression and mood disorder” I hope all those reading my blog will learn something new, or remember what you already know. And make use of them to lead a better and happier life 🙂

P.S This is my latest update. It’s almost three years since I wrote this, and today it’s the 20th of May 2018. I have completely recovered and living free of depression now, that means it has gone into remission 🙂
I will be updating some of the old articles with my new knowledge and added experiences and also for the benefit of those who are new to the blog, as well as to confirm that it is possible to overcome and become completely well too. Now that my mood is even more uplifted, my choice of colours and posts have changed too accordingly. My eye goes to new pictures that resonate with how I am feeling now that I am feeling very much positive than when I was feeling unwell.. It does happen. You too can come out into the light and live Happily 🙂
