Hello To All My Dear Readers 🙂

To give you an update of my life since I finally came to settle down here is Aussie. I completed eight years yesterday and looking back I have come a very long way. It is Not talking big but, letting you know how much I have achieved, so that those of you who are reading, get inspired and get Hope, that you too can overcome by working towards getting well. My main reason for doing this blog 🙂
My depression has gone into remission, and have been stable for almost 4 years now. Its quite a feat as I was under it for quite a long time, as long as almost 15 years. I have worked in TAFE as an ESL volunteer tutor for almost 5 years during that period, done some short courses and now continuing with the Diploma in Psychology. I have also completed 2 years writing in here, and today I was looking at the past articles and saw how much my writing has improved, along with my mood as well 🙂
Journaling or writing in anyway is very helpful as, it helps to put our minds in order. When we write we are able to understand so many things that are working in our minds that we were not aware !!!
Journaling is: writing down your thoughts and feelings to understand them more clearly. And if you struggle with stress, depression, or anxiety, keeping a journal can help you gain control of your emotions and improve your mental health ~ The I net.
Prayers or and meditation also helps in relaxation and to calm the mind, as well as gaining  wisdom which is the most important thing, to understand the process of life more clearly !!!
“Life works in a pattern we all know that the seasons come one after the other every year the same pattern, everyday the sun comes up in the morning and goes down in the evening and so on. So as we are all part of “The Universe”, and all of us fall under the same laws. Ad once we have done everything possible ~ we need to have Patience for them to work in its own way ~ In the Natural Order” We can also describe it as, “Going with the flow of life” 🙂

Actually it is through intense prayers and meditation that has brought me to this  stage of maturity, where I have come to understand many things in life and moved on to a complete different wave length from where I have been ~ which is the main reason for my almost complete recovery. It is something that all can achieve as it is a matter of changing one’s vibrations or energy, but “this has to be done with, great dedication sacrifice and persistence, long term”. As changing one’s energy or vibrations is a slow process and happens in a very delicate way, along with acts of offering merit to those who guide and protect you along the way. This is the value of the human being as we have choices and able to know and learn how to become well or get over difficulties !!!

Many do not think or understand this although they have studied science. Well even I have studied physics, but that was when I was very young and I didn’t know all this at that age. Everyone knows that in any religion, prayers are being said to heal the sick, so prayers are all good vibrations, which somehow with faith helps that person to feel better or sometimes completely recover. I have these experiences but it’s only very few who knows or believe that. As it is a, “Very Long process which I have done over time as I said before, with great dedication and sacrifice” One has to go over tests and tribulations time and time again until sometimes you are exhausted. At this stage of my life, knowing who I am, and what I have become is enough for me. I do not have that need to prove it to anyone. For those of you who believe in energy, This will be in my blog, spreading Good Energy constantly, for Good Health, Happiness and Prosperity. Just click anytime and take it in with a Good Heart ~ Loving Kindness. Concentrate on it and feel or imagine positive energy flowing into you, cleansing you of the negativity, Healing and bringing you Peace and Happiness ❤

Hello To All My Dear Reader 🙂

I am re-doing some of the posts and this is exactly from 2 years ago. Looking back its an amazing, the journey I have come so far, in healing myself and advancing my knowledge, working, studying and going about in life as a, “Complete normal human being” Actually I am a much stronger and knowledgeable product now as a result of all the experiences I had experienced through the journey. This is because I made a concentrated effort in becoming well, making use of all the help I could get and above all, myself working towards healing 🙂

Why I am writing like this is for those of you who are reading to have “Hope and Faith” and to Believe in becoming well in time, with medication, counselling and/or psychotherapy. It is possible to control and send the dragon back into its cave where it came from. In other words it goes into remission as it happens with so many other physical illnesses too. In becoming well, I have the opportunity in enlightening/guiding others who are in need of, I should say “Hope” to know that you also have that chance, the ability to, become well and lead a life of Happiness and Joy that you deserve ❤

Depression is being very sad long term, and known as darkness because, if you are depressed, you do not see the colours of life. Meaning your eye tend to move on to dark and gloomy things even the clothes you wear and choose, tend to be dull and grey. Just like when its a rainy day and the sky is dark and all around you is gloomy. Also you lack energy, become lethargic, lack of appetite, sleep, at the same time drowsiness, and feeling of dullness in general towards living. These are what I have experienced, if you want more information you can refer books and the I net. At the same time the moment you get well, its just like the sun has come out and you see the world in all its glory. You become energized and full of enthusiasm to get on with life. Which I am now. So I know both the darkness and the light. Strange as, “Deepa” my name given according to my birth time means, “Light” Light has two meanings. The physical light, as well as, enlightening in knowledge. So somehow years ago, according to my birth time this was the suitable name which was given by a very wise person. It’s said we are born with a plan. So was I born for exactly this purpose ? In that case, is it why I went through all these challenges and tests to overcome for a purpose ? Time will give the answers 🙂

So after more than half of my life gone what I feel now is that, all what I have gone through is, ” To be able to gain that knowledge, so that I can enlighten others on this topic. It’s strange how life has taken a turn as what I wanted to do was Botany, as I loved plants. I never wanted to do medicine or to be a doctor, but now I am studying psychology. If we are all born for some specific purpose and it seems this is my purpose, my mission. Aren’t I glad that I have got such a mission in my hands 🙂

People go through hard times in their lives due to many different reasons. Being physically ill, problems in jobs, professions, lack of money and/or family/children problems. And sometimes all or many of these come together. People looking from outside, do not see what is going in others personal lives, and can discourage and hurt others with no reason. Someone who is going through a very bad time, might completely go off track, by some insensitive and ignorant people’s attitude and, pushing them further into darkness and gloom. Feeling desperate and not knowing what to do they might even end their lives. So do think before you say or do anything harsh without knowing what others are going through. These are the times that the human mind cannot take it and it breaks. So always be aware, just because someone is well dressed and smiling there can be lot going on unseen within !!!

Saying broken is that your mind becomes ill just like the body. The soul, your spirit can be dampened, and it becomes too much for the mind and it begins to give up. Then the body also goes down with it, as the mind is also in the physical self, in short in the head somewhere !!!
Its not only people who always break you, mother nature also does that with her floods, volcanoes and many other tricks up her sleeves. And for those who ask why only pictures of ladies, here are some for the gentlemen too 🙂

Not ten it can be hundreds of times, and some goes on for whole of their life time. This is why I am writing that it is possible for most of you to bring it down, keep it under control, if not fully to some extent, enough to lead a stress free life. If after 15 long years I overcome depression. So can you ❤

This is what happens to those who are over loaded with stress. Your head is over working trying to find solutions. Its mostly stress that you get headaches and most of the other illnesses. Its like a chess game inside your head, trying to figure out the best ways to overcome the problems and solve the difficult situations. The other person becomes too tough you lose the game !!!

Please do not look down upon people who have mental issues. Being mentally ill is Not being mad. Through stress, untold grief, sadness and abuse which often is not their fault many become confused and ill. This labeling and looking down upon people is wrong. All people have a right to lead a life of peace and happiness. “It is this stigma that is preventing a lot of people going for help to the doctor that is making them more ill. Mental illnesses are rising at an alarming rate. According to WHO by 2030 Depression will be the biggest cause of health burden in the world. “RIGHT NOW ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD , ONE PERSON TAKES THEIR OWN LIFE EVERY 30 SECONDS” and it is going up. I am sure glad I am on the, RIGHT SIDE OF LIFE, ENCOURAGING and SUPPORTING PEOPLE TO LIVE HEALTHY and HAPPY, and NOT DIE !!!

Once we open up, we help ourselves to feel good. To love and care for ourselves. As none of us are born perfect. Sometimes its not seen why somethings happened to us. No one makes a mistake or takes a wrong turn if they know that it will be a disaster. Sometimes it can be like putting out your hand out to survive to the closest thing, a person, when you are drowning in the river of stress. As our fist instinct is to survive this is how we are born. You are born to live and live to tell your story to others to lift them up too 🙂

Its not only our problems and struggles, our successes and winnings also can be turned into stories to help others. I am touching on the good side too. As so many harp on the bad side and do not see the good they have. This is a result of my being positive Now and not being depressed. Now I can look from both sides of life 🙂

Those who have gone through any physical or mental pain themselves can understand another’s pain or hardships better. Someone who never had a headache would find it hard to understand another’s pain in the head. But one doesn’t have to be, all that broken to understand another’s feelings. As all human beings have feelings, are intelligent and have a brain to think and analyse what is right and wrong. Each and everyone goes through some kind of experience, at some stage of their lives. Sometimes back when I posted this in my group, someone commented this is because, they feel the pinch !!!

Well I am a survivor. I did fight to win over depression. We all have to, sort of fight over lot of things to achieve what we want in life. I feel quite good that in spite of being named the light,  I fell into darkness and managed to come out. I fought the darkness and became what I am today. Back to myself 🙂

But we don’t go through all the experiences ourselves in one life. How I became well is from a combination of others experiences, my knowledge from very young days even before I got depressed has helped me. Even from books, magazines and other sources I come across. And I am not this small and certainly don’t live in a tea cup 😛

Hello To My Dear Readers 🙂

Hope all are well and Happy 😛 I am redoing some of the articles for the benefit of the new followers and also with more information. Actually this should have come after the article that I wrote about stress, as nature is the best medicine for stress. You might ask why, and I will say this is because we are part of mother nature. As its “Dust to dust and Ashes to ashes” So the best way to reduce stress is to reconnect with mother nature, relax and calm your mind and body 🙂

Healing 3
This is if you are comfortable walking among trees and plants especially in the woods, where its completely free of other disturbances and you can be totally immersed in the natural surroundings. When you can find a nice quiet place, you can be at peace. You hear the sounds of nature and then you hear yourself. As its in the silence that you hear your inner voice. What you really want in life. Your heart desires !

The reason we can relax best in nature is, because its full of greenery. Green is soothing to the eyes. Its a colour that balances the energies of the body and helps the mind to calm down. In fact my favourite colour is green and I love plants and nature 🙂

Most of the time the reason we get stressed is because, we are in a hurry. We try to run against time. Its true that we cannot sit and wait things to come to us, but after we have done our best, we need to have patience until things happen or change the way we want them to 🙂

I am sure almost all of you are aware, other than the vast sky above all around is the colour green as the world is usually full of trees and plants. But sadly man has been cutting down without much respect or consideration to the environment that our environment has got quite polluted, especially in countries that are over populated. Again life does balance too as from another side, some our growing and even having roof top gardens even for business purposes growing vegetables, fruits.

In the natural surroundings, the flowing of the water, the rustle of the leaves and the moving of the trees are all soothing sounds to the ears. That’s natural music that can relax and lull you to sleep peacefully 🙂

Nature plays a very big part in our healing. As you are able to relax naturally, stress goes away naturally too. You reconnect to where you really belong, mother nature. You inhale clean air, absorb the natural light and sounds to sooth your nerves. Walking bare foot, helps you to connect to mother earth. This is called grounding or earthing, which is also a spiritual term. By connecting with mother nature it helps to balance your energies/vibrations !!!

Healing 5

Learn to enjoy nature. Go bare foot for walks on the grass on the beach, sit and watch the clouds moving, how the light plays with the trees and leaves. Nature is one big experience by itself and most of all its free 🙂

Hello To My Dear Readers 🙂

I have been reading some articles and according to the latest statistics, mental illnesses are rising at an alarming rate. Millions world over are going through depression and many other mental issues. Sadly so many people are still not aware that the mind also gets sick like the body, even those who are highly educated in certain fields. Quite often I have heard people say it’s all in the mind and there is no such thing as depression !!!

In Australia alone one is seven experience major depression in their life time. But 70% of them will not seek treatment. One of the main reasons for this is the stigma. This is actually common almost world over. The other reasons are not having access to formal mental health treatment due to being in remote areas, the cost and time limitations. The result of this is people becoming sick and unable to work or to lead their lives in the normal way and also very sadly ending their valuable lives giving grief to their loved ones and a loss to the whole of humanity.
In the past it was said that counselling online is of little help, now research has clearly shown that self-guided, online psychological therapy is effective for most people experiencing depression regardless of severity or back ground. Those of you who are reading, please do go for counselling or therapy as they are extremely helpful !!!

“DO NOT THINK ABOUT STIGMA – IT IS YOUR LIFE THAT MATTERS”

But if you are unable to go, until such time, read books articles and find information on line for self care. There is so much of knowledge in books, magazines and on the I net. Again this is if you are unable to go for medical help for some reason 🙂

The word Health Organisation has stated that depression will be the biggest cause of health burden in the world by 2030 !!!
So this is the reason I thought I will try and increase writing more posts as I believe at least one person will make use of these tips and go for counselling, take medication or learn how to manage their moods and feel a little better. Hello To All My Dear Readers 🙂

Hope you all are keeping well. I have taken a while to come here, as I am going through some major changes in my life and needed to settle my mind before writing. We are changing everyday, but from time to time we do go through major changes from one phase to another. These can be work, relationships, children, money or anything at all, but usually they go together with one’s age 🙂
From children we become adults and with that, jobs, marriage and our children come in. I feel that this middle chapter takes almost half of our life span. Although there are many major changes within this period as children mature, its only when they finally leave home, comes the next major change. Parents feel their absence and a long line of things they did suddenly comes to an end and they are left with a big hole or a gap that needs to be filled, in their hearts as well as in their lives. This is called as the empty nest syndrome and is mostly felt by the mother as usually its the mother who is around them while father’s are more at work. But then it can be for the father too or for both the parents, depending on who is more closer to the children when they are growing up. At the same time usually the parents are also close to their age of retirement from their jobs which makes it even harder to digest !!!
For me I have now passed this middle chapter and was mostly concentrating on my work.  And now that too seems to have come to an end which is another huge life change. I find that in life we cannot, master two completely different topics well, at the same time. Once I began to heal and started to get back into my normal life, my mind was full of ideas on healing. For me, being involved in teaching English, and Healing became two completely different things. I found my mind was constantly pulling on to what was going on my life at the time, which was all about health and healing. I had made a huge effort to come out of depression and naturally my mind was full of all that and my whole life took on to another path !!!
Although there was a detour, I still continued working as a part time English tutor, but I did not find enough satisfaction as its not all who value when someone is trying to teach them free. They do not understand how much of time, energy and sacrifice that is put in for volunteering. When engaged in the process of giving, “in any life situation not only in work, be it outsiders, friends or family one needs to feel appreciated in some form. As in life its, “Both giving and receiving. Its then only the real giving process is complete” ❤
I faced a situation where I felt rejected. Rejection is a very strong word, which has a very negative effect. It can come in many forms. It can be in the way of comparing with others, belittling you, putting you down, avoiding, in short its a total lack of caring and disrespect towards another. This makes the rejected person feel let down, unwanted, insulted and it gives a feeling that you have failed as a person or/and in what ever you have been entrusted with. It loses one’s confidence and a sense of worth and its not easy to overcome them just like that. It can take a toll on ones mind and you can become depressed and ultimately mentally ill. Actually these are exactly the situations that pushes normal people to become not normal and having to struggle to become normal again. Then there are very few to acknowledge or to give a hand to pull you up. I know this and exactly why I am writing and doing this blog ❤
Rejection is one of the worst things that can happen to someone who is depressed or even come out of depression. Yes I am out of it, but as we all know many illnesses, be it physical or mental can lift their heads up given the right conditions. They go into remission and are like seeds waiting for the rains to come out from their hiding places. Its not easy for people like us, as we can’t be running to the counsellor or the therapist all the time like little children to the mother 😛
But its when suddenly things hit you hard, and usually its not one there can be a few of the stones falling on your head at the same time, that we find it difficult to cope. Then what do we do ? I had been wanting this change from work, But I didn’t stop I was just going on. Very often in life, although we know its time we made that change, we don’t usually make major changes all by ourselves. This is the time when, God/The Universe/The Higher Powers decide to step in. We get a push. How ? Being hurt, disappointed or being rejected. And if we don’t take it we get a bigger push until it hits us hard and we are almost forced to take that decision. This is why it’s said that, we are given the same lesson over and over again if we don’t listen or make those changes we need in order to move on in life !!!
So when things get shaken up, if you take them up as challenges, you can really benefit from them. As you then, stop what ever you are doing and have a very good look at what’s going on with your life at that moment, and think is this what I want ? What is life telling me ? Stress and pain acknowledged with wisdom, helps you to find that exact venture, the path that you are really supposed to follow ❤

When things don’t really work for you and you keep on getting pushed, you feel, “This has gone on long enough, I do not want to cry or keep on going through this pain. I need to live better, “Then that will be the exact time of your turning point, of making that decision to make that change. As that will be heard by your mind and, “Unknown to you, the mind will be working towards it” It will be letting go of the unwanted and streamlining your life to serve you better. For this you need to prioritise. To clean your life from the clutter and to know exactly what you want from life 🙂

In my case I have been isolating myself completely. All phones off and no sound no nothing just eating, sleeping and relaxing in silence. Its then that your mind becomes clear and you find out/realise, “What you really want from life. What will make you happy. How you can achieve it” We cannot depend on others, as most of them don’t understand, or they are not there when we need them. That is exactly how it is too. Because it’s not other’s job to think or decide for us. Its our life and its we who know what we want. And if sometimes you find there is no one to ask, “This is because its you alone that has to find your own answers. As its only you that know who you are exactly and what You want from life. And then you need to be strong and brave enough to take that step and start all over again 🙂

Hello My Dear Readers,

As this is my journey along the path of healing, I thought I will write here as and how I am moving on with my life. Sometimes it may be the same things here and there, but they will be different each time, because we keep on changing and evolving as we go along !!!
Its really difficult to draw a line when you have become well and when you have really healed. Both can be on the balance as we cannot see the mind like the physical self. We ourselves don’t know what is still hiding in our minds waiting jump out, or if the memories or the hurts, have gone back so much so, almost never to come back !!!

AAAA 12

Those who are really following my journey, are aware that recently I did the tying up the lose-end business, and ended one part of my life. Now I have got the urge to contact some of them who have been there for me, supporting and helping me at various times and ways. These things does happen from time to time. Meaning as you go along its like closing one door after another. In life you cannot just close a door once and for all and finish off that part. As we keep on changing and moving on, we keep on closing one chapter after another. Its just life reading a book. As in a book too there are many chapters and until you finish, you keep on reading one after the other, till the end !!!

I believe I have come to a big turning point of healing. I almost feel I have now become, who I was before all these upheavals happened. I remember all what I used to do, and I can’t believe the drama I have gone through, and how I have survived. Its like I have woken up from a very long dream, only no prince woke me up 🙂  I woke myself up !!!

Whoever is there for you or not, ultimately its you who has to heal yourself. It has to e a combination of many things. You need to get proper guidance from the medical personnel, medication and above all, “Make an extreme effort to do anything and everything possible to become positive and pull yourself up” Once you decide and begin to come up, others can give a helping hand. Being depressed or mentally unwell is like you are in a deep down place alone, where no one can reach you. The moment you decide to become well and begin to be active, its like coming out of that ditch. Then others are able to help you, reach out to you and pull you up 🙂

It has been a Very Long Journey. Actually it has been longer than half of what I have lived so far. And still 6 months ago there were few incidents that shook me, that trying to survive, helped me even more to understand what happened to me at certain points of my life which had been puzzling me for a long time. So actually they came as it came as blessings in disguise. In order to survive, I came out of my comfort zone, which only now I realise that there was such thing as a comfort zone, where I was concerned. What things we ourselves discover about us is the surprising thing.  And I did so many things otherwise I would have not done. This is because I was Determined to Survive and I believe I have really survived and come out quite  well, the reason I am write confidently about how I coped 🙂

In life we all go through various hardships at various times in different ways until the end. And sometimes yes, we all do wonder, why did all that happen to us, for what reason. Some answers don’t come immediately but they do in time, may be a few will not. Hopefully one day I will know the answers to my questions !!!
I pray and meditate to reflex on how things happened in the past and how best I can move on. I am discovering so much about me now. What I have forgotten and who I have become by overcoming all this challenges. I am who I was in the past, yet I have changed too !!! Life is such we all change all the time and we can go on learning and advancing ourselves as long as we have life. How wonderful to keep on updating your knowledge and to learn new things. I really enjoy doing so and with all what I have gone through, I find that, “Life can become Wonderful, if we have the strength and patience to keep on working towards it” 🙂
There are exceptions I know, just like everything. But for most of you, if you take courage, you can turn your life around to look at life in a positive way and make the best of who you are and what you have. We have only one life to live, and almost all of us are given, something special to make a mark in this world. For ourselves and then to others, at least to one person. We cannot change the whole world not all of us, although I wish we could. Don’t you ?
So we need to make use of what we have got. As I always end up saying, Be strong, have Courage and be Patient until the winds change and life turn in favour for you. It does, it has to. Winter doesn’t stay for ever nor does summer. We are part of this universe so we also move on with the clock of the universe. Your day will surely come ❤

Hello My Dear Readers 🙂

Its three months since I started this blog, my writing style has improved. I am gathering more information and expanding my knowledge. So this article is all about, “How I started to write. After I overcame depression, I have been impatient to move on to do more things. I could not really think of something to do, to my satisfaction and was getting restless. Do not get confused with the word restlessness here, with frustration 🙂
In psychology, frustration is a common emotional response to opposition. Related to anger and disappointment, where as restlessness that I am talking about here is wanting to do more, to move on, being impatient, which makes your mind work to its fullest to look for answers. Being restless does bring about good results !

I had been writing on my Face Book pages and slowly improving but that was not enough for me. I wanted to do more. Wanting to do more is how I happened to start this blog. It seems that I had been developing myself gradually over the years, but was not aware of it until I did get down to write here. And now, I have found that I love to write and writing is my passion. Its very satisfying and enjoyable. For everyone there is something unique one can do, and for me I finally found that writing is my calling . A Calling is what you really want to do that makes you feel fulfilled and happy 🙂

What each of us write is unique to each other. As no two people have the same experiences the knowledge nor does their minds work the same way. In short each one has their own personality and how they write is different to each other !

The use of words also is very important. As there are many whose first language is not English, or what ever the language you write in. So when you use very advanced words, the flow of the reading gets disturbed. As the mind stops, to understand, to think. Then there is a break, a disturbance. The words has to be written in such a way that one follows the next just like flowing of a natural spring. Even like music harmonious, the words blending to each other, pleasant to the eye and even to the ears if read aloud 🙂

 I have found out, the more you write the more you get better at it, just like most other things in life. This is also the advice given by, other writers like, “Jane Austen”. So if you are keen to write, keep on writing 🙂

Before writing its very important that you read a lot. As you need to be very fluent in the language you write. All these words that flow comes from our memory bank. In my case, from far as I can remember, my parents had read to me. I have been surrounded by books, so it is now. Books are my passion and reading is one of two main hobbies. Even if I go to the shops, my first stop is the book shop. This has continued from my childhood to past my mid years now. So much so when I write I almost hear words being prompted to me, almost as someone is saying them from inside. I hear some of the words, as if someone is dictating while I write as even I don’t know that I knew some of the words that I hear. Like now I am just writing non stop, and very often I hardly have the need even to edit, other than a small typing mistake as I am typing very fast. Writing is a part of me, and I am a part of writing !!!

Why we write. Its because we have so much inside that we can share with others. Each person does their own way, how they know, what their talents are. Some write, some paint, some are musicians and each one paints the world with their own colours and make the world beautiful and better place to live in 🙂

Writing helps to know yourself better. To find out who you are, what makes you happy or unhappy. What your strengths and weaknesses are. Through this you clarify your thoughts and feelings. Writing or journaling is the best way to organise the inside of your minds. As you write daily your thoughts your feelings, you find out things that even you didn’t know about yourselves. And then you know how to rectify/sort out them. So writing helps to reduce stress and is very therapeutic in relaxing and healing yourself 🙂

Writing helps the writer as well as many others, who read their experiences, stories and get to know their knowledge. As in one life time we cannot have all the experiences in all the fields. Even what I write naturally is a combination of endless books I have read, others experiences and knowledge gathered over many years 🙂

As always in life, unless we try we don’t know if something works or not. Even if we do not succeed at the first attempt or the second, we need to keep on trying. For some they know from the very beginning as they are born talented. Some find out in their later years. For some like me I had to finish my duties in life before I found out what exactly I was meant to do. And as my mind was not free I was unable to really know my true calling. So this is why, you need to be at peace so that hear from within the answers you are looking for. For each of us its a different calling, but the main thing is to keep on trying. As its never too late for anything as long as we are alive 🙂

Since I started to write, I have found out that in the past, the whole time I had been working and  planning things inside my head. Quite a few have been telling me to write, but didn’t really get down seriously into it. And then one day, I do happen to start, Bang. And now I have found why I have always been thinking and planning inside my head. The reason my need was to put out what was working within and the best way was to, put my thoughts into words in writing 🙂
