I am also listening to good classical music as classical music helps to to focus our minds and it is said that The best way is to have it playing softly in the background as you get on with your tasks. But this all depends on each persons personality. Listening to music can decrease anxiety, speed Healing, Increase Optimism and decrease pain. Babies know from Happy from sad songs. As young as 5 months can distinguish (recognize) an upbeat tune such as, “An Ode to Joy” from Beethoven’s 9th symphony ❤

The Mozart Effect: It’s been thought that listening to classical music, particularly Mozart, enhances performance on “Cognitive tests. However, recent findings show the listening to any music that is personally enjoyable has positive effects on cognition. Listening to good music can make you learn better and has the power to enhance some kind of higher brain function, such as reading and literacy skills, spatial-tempered reasoning, emotional intelligence and mathematical abilities – even children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder benefit in mathematics tests from listening to music beforehand ❤

Exercise your wheels of thinking and you would know what this word means. In simple terms, cognition refers to the process of thinking. It is the identification of knowledge, of understanding it and perceiving it. The most common references of cognition that one would find would be in psychology and philosophy. One would do well to read on cognitive psychology (defined as the psychological study of higher mental processes, including thinking and perception).
The dictionary definitions for cognition are as follows: 1. The mental process of knowing, including aspects such as awareness, perception, reasoning, and judgment. (noun) 2. That which comes to be known, as through perception, reasoning, or intuition; knowledge. (noun)
Masters Tip to remember Cognition: Our simple reference guide for this:
Process of cognition = Process of thinking. This is the simplified and practical meaning for this word with the strange feeling ~ https://wordpandit.com/cognition/

Healing Powers: Music can help to stimulate or activate the mind, ‘Boost Creative Energies”, and are associated with “Dreaming, Learning and Relaxing”. The key to Boosting Creative Energies is to Listen to the type of music “You Enjoy” the most. If You want more “Inspiration, in Language and Mathematics” it would make sense to listen to “Music with Singing”, while “Music without words”, stimulates more “Artistic and Visual Senses” ❤

I hope you like all what I have written. I was able to find the music, “The Ode To Joy” as “A Lesson” showing how to play that instrument or a similar instrument, that You can learn to play also” Happy Playing ❤

  1. Your post is great and expresses a truth many can testify to. As you can guess I do listen to
music a lot and know for certain how commen it is today among students to work to music.
Mozart was always the favoured but I am sure that the music that affects you will be doing
the same. Stimulate your mind and enthusiasm.

  2. This is such a thorough post. I’ve long believed that music holds so many powers and benefits, though over recent years, as with most things I’ve enjoyed, it’s slipped by the wayside. I need to get it back in my day to day life again. I love that you’ve covered cognition and the different things music can do, from motivating and to soothing. Fab post, Deepa, it’s got me in the mood for some tunes!
