Dealing with Those who Try to Break You!

Thanking all those who read my articles and comment, like and follow my blog. Hope all of you are keeping well and finding what I write useful in some way to further enhance and advance your life ❤
I don’t know if this topic is relevant to everyone, but this is something that I have had to be facing since sometime. We all know that mental illnesses are not recognized and understood, even by some of the so called educated people. Why I say, “so called educated people” is, if people are really educated, then they cannot be ignorant of the fact that mind becomes ill just like the body. As where is the mind? In the body! Then how can mind not become ill? Then why does mental illnesses looked down upon or seen them as some outcasts in the society?
It is well known that world over depression is a serious issue threatening the future. The world Health Organisation has stated that depression will be the biggest cause of health burden by 2030. There are millions who are depressed and millions yet to come. Suicide rate is going up. Valuable time and live’s are lost. So many kind and compassionate people are working, fighting to ease this problem in various fields, not only in the field of medicine. Communities have got together as groups, clubs to work towards helping in healing through hobbies, sports, physical and many mental therapeutic activities as well. What I am doing also here in my blog is , in a small way is contributing my knowledge and experiences towards those who can make use of them to know that they also can control and recover enough to be well and lead a normal and happy life. It is to show by example, “To give Hope” to those still battling!
But as life has it, I am having to deal with an issue of, not only of ignorance but, “Knowingly trying to confuse and push me back” In these circumstances what would you do? Do you think it is a kind and compassionate thing to do to another human being who has gone through such an ordeal through years and lifted her head up, and now is working towards the benefit of others, quietly with no harm or disturbance to anyone? What motive and mind set do you think this type of people have? As in the society there are many types of destructive people. How do you deal with them?

Courage 2

At the present stage of my life I have learnt to take them as, challenges that I have to face in order to overcome and become stronger. As we need challenges to test our strength and to move on to the next level of our lives. Life throws us curve balls from time to time and we do get shaken, but we can deal with them in many ways. Overcoming long term depression is not a small task, that shows, Strength, Courage and Patience, and above all Faith in the Powers above. I pray during sickness and sadness, for good health, in happiness, thankfulness and gratitude, daily morning and night, for myself and others. This is, where I derive, “My Strength” The Divine Powers which some have no clue. They think they can do anything and get away. For the moment yes. But not long term!

There is no way that negativity can bring down the positive. Dharma, Righteousness does always overcome evil. Light always chases the darkness away. My name by birth itself is, “Light” Darkness can never defeat me. It is a Lion himself who named me, “Light” and, his spirit is guiding me. I lead my life in accordance to, “The Laws of The Universe” I adhere to to the correct principles in life. I give. I donate. I share what I have with anyone. Even this blog is giving and sharing, as I am sharing my knowledge and life experiences with others. “It is the gift of knowledge that brings the the Highest Blessings according to Buddhism”. So how can those who are morally deteriorated, put me down or anyone else who lives according to the, “Laws of The Universe” for that matter. “Do Not, ever get discouraged or let anyone put you down for no reason” Take every experience, as a challenge, to gain strength, courage and confidence and to achieve your goals and Win ❤

I have found that, these are things that happen in the society not only to me but some others too. Some do not want others to rise up. Sadly they don’t know that helping another is helping themselves also. In giving you receive. In blessing you are blessed. What goes around comes around. They are “The laws of The Universe” that applies to all. Abiding by them, “The Universe Guides, Help and Supports us 🙂

What is Depression ?

Hello To All My Dear Reader 🙂

I am re-doing some of the posts and this is exactly from 2 years ago. Looking back its an amazing, the journey I have come so far, in healing myself and advancing my knowledge, working, studying and going about in life as a, “Complete normal human being” Actually I am a much stronger and knowledgeable product now as a result of all the experiences I had experienced through the journey. This is because I made a concentrated effort in becoming well, making use of all the help I could get and above all, myself working towards healing 🙂
Why I am writing like this is for those of you who are reading to have “Hope and Faith” and to Believe in becoming well in time, with medication, counselling and/or psychotherapy. It is possible to control and send the dragon back into its cave where it came from. In other words it goes into remission as it happens with so many other physical illnesses too. In becoming well, I have the opportunity in enlightening/guiding others who are in need of, I should say “Hope” to know that you also have that chance, the ability to, become well and lead a life of Happiness and Joy that you deserve ❤

Depression is being very sad long term, and known as darkness because, if you are depressed, you do not see the colours of life. Meaning your eye tend to move on to dark and gloomy things even the clothes you wear and choose, tend to be dull and grey. Just like when its a rainy day and the sky is dark and all around you is gloomy. Also you lack energy, become lethargic, lack of appetite, sleep, at the same time drowsiness, and feeling of dullness in general towards living. These are what I have experienced, if you want more information you can refer books and the I net. At the same time the moment you get well, its just like the sun has come out and you see the world in all its glory. You become energized and full of enthusiasm to get on with life. Which I am now. So I know both the darkness and the light. Strange as, “Deepa” my name given according to my birth time means, “Light” Light has two meanings. The physical light, as well as, enlightening in knowledge. So somehow years ago, according to my birth time this was the suitable name which was given by a very wise person. It’s said we are born with a plan. So was I born for exactly this purpose ? In that case, is it why I went through all these challenges and tests to overcome for a purpose ? Time will give the answers 🙂

So after more than half of my life gone what I feel now is that, all what I have gone through is, ” To be able to gain that knowledge, so that I can enlighten others on this topic. It’s strange how life has taken a turn as what I wanted to do was Botany, as I loved plants. I never wanted to do medicine or to be a doctor, but now I am studying psychology. If we are all born for some specific purpose and it seems this is my purpose, my mission. Aren’t I glad that I have got such a mission in my hands 🙂

People go through hard times in their lives due to many different reasons. Being physically ill, problems in jobs, professions, lack of money and/or family/children problems. And sometimes all or many of these come together. People looking from outside, do not see what is going in others personal lives, and can discourage and hurt others with no reason. Someone who is going through a very bad time, might completely go off track, by some insensitive and ignorant people’s attitude and, pushing them further into darkness and gloom. Feeling desperate and not knowing what to do they might even end their lives. So do think before you say or do anything harsh without knowing what others are going through. These are the times that the human mind cannot take it and it breaks. So always be aware, just because someone is well dressed and smiling there can be lot going on unseen within !!!

 

Saying broken is that your mind becomes ill just like the body. The soul, your spirit can be dampened, and it becomes too much for the mind and it begins to give up. Then the body also goes down with it, as the mind is also in the physical self, in short in the head somewhere !!!
Its not only people who always break you, mother nature also does that with her floods, volcanoes and many other tricks up her sleeves. And for those who ask why only pictures of ladies, here are some for the gentlemen too 🙂

 

Not ten it can be hundreds of times, and some goes on for whole of their life time. This is why I am writing that it is possible for most of you to bring it down, keep it under control, if not fully to some extent, enough to lead a stress free life. If after 15 long years I overcome depression. So can you ❤

 

This is what happens to those who are over loaded with stress. Your head is over working trying to find solutions. Its mostly stress that you get headaches and most of the other illnesses. Its like a chess game inside your head, trying to figure out the best ways to overcome the problems and solve the difficult situations. The other person becomes too tough you lose the game !!!

Please do not look down upon people who have mental issues. Being mentally ill is Not being mad. Through stress, untold grief, sadness and abuse which often is not their fault many become confused and ill. This labeling and looking down upon people is wrong. All people have a right to lead a life of peace and happiness. “It is this stigma that is preventing a lot of people going for help to the doctor that is making them more ill. Mental illnesses are rising at an alarming rate. According to WHO by 2030 Depression will be the biggest cause of health burden in the world. “RIGHT NOW ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD , ONE PERSON TAKES THEIR OWN LIFE EVERY 30 SECONDS” and it is going up. I am sure glad I am on the, RIGHT SIDE OF LIFE, ENCOURAGING and SUPPORTING PEOPLE TO LIVE HEALTHY and HAPPY, and NOT DIE !!!

 

Be Brave and seek out help. Don’t let anything spoil your life. You have the right to lead a good life ❤

 

Once we open up, we help ourselves to feel good. To love and care for ourselves. As none of us are born perfect. Sometimes its not seen why somethings happened to us. No one makes a mistake or takes a wrong turn if they know that it will be a disaster. Sometimes it can be like putting out your hand out to survive to the closest thing, a person, when you are drowning in the river of stress. As our fist instinct is to survive this is how we are born. You are born to live and live to tell your story to others to lift them up too 🙂

 

Its not only our problems and struggles, our successes and winnings also can be turned into stories to help others. I am touching on the good side too. As so many harp on the bad side and do not see the good they have. This is a result of my being positive Now and not being depressed. Now I can look from both sides of life 🙂
Those who have gone through any physical or mental pain themselves can understand another’s pain or hardships better. Someone who never had a headache would find it hard to understand another’s pain in the head. But one doesn’t have to be, all that broken to understand another’s feelings. As all human beings have feelings, are intelligent and have a brain to think and analyse what is right and wrong. Each and everyone goes through some kind of experience, at some stage of their lives. Sometimes back when I posted this in my group, someone commented this is because, they feel the pinch !!!
Well I am a survivor. I did fight to win over depression. We all have to, sort of fight over lot of things to achieve what we want in life. I feel quite good that in spite of being named the light,  I fell into darkness and managed to come out. I fought the darkness and became what I am today. Back to myself 🙂
But we don’t go through all the experiences ourselves in one life. How I became well is from a combination of others experiences, my knowledge from very young days even before I got depressed has helped me. Even from books, magazines and other sources I come across!

The Benefits of Nature !

Hope all are well and Happy 😛 I am redoing some of the articles for the benefit of the new followers and also with more information. Actually this should have come after the article that I wrote about stress, as nature is the best medicine for stress. You might ask why, and I will say this is because we are part of mother nature. As its “Dust to dust and Ashes to ashes” So the best way to reduce stress is to reconnect with mother nature, relax and calm your mind and body 🙂

Healing 3
This is if you are comfortable walking among trees and plants especially in the woods, where its completely free of other disturbances and you can be totally immersed in the natural surroundings. When you can find a nice quiet place, you can be at peace. You hear the sounds of nature and then you hear yourself. As its in the silence that you hear your inner voice. What you really want in life. Your heart desires !

The reason we can relax best in nature is, because its full of greenery. Green is soothing to the eyes. Its a colour that balances the energies of the body and helps the mind to calm down. In fact my favourite colour is green and I love plants and nature 🙂

Most of the time the reason we get stressed is because, we are in a hurry. We try to run against time. Its true that we cannot sit and wait things to come to us, but after we have done our best, we need to have patience until things happen or change the way we want them to 🙂

I am sure almost all of you are aware, other than the vast sky above all around is the colour green as the world is usually full of trees and plants. But sadly man has been cutting down without much respect or consideration to the environment that our environment has got quite polluted, especially in countries that are over populated. Again life does balance too as from another side, some our growing and even having roof top gardens even for business purposes growing vegetables, fruits.

In the natural surroundings, the flowing of the water, the rustle of the leaves and the moving of the trees are all soothing sounds to the ears. That’s natural music that can relax and lull you to sleep peacefully 🙂

Nature 12

Nature plays a very big part in our healing. As you are able to relax naturally, stress goes away naturally too. You reconnect to where you really belong, mother nature. You inhale clean air, absorb the natural light and sounds to sooth your nerves. Walking bare foot, helps you to connect to mother earth. This is called grounding or earthing, which is also a spiritual term. By connecting with mother nature it helps to balance your energies/vibrations !!!

Healing 5

Learn to enjoy nature. Go bare foot for walks on the grass on the beach, sit and watch the clouds moving, how the light plays with the trees and leaves. Nature is one big experience by itself and most of all its free 🙂

That Thing called Stress !!!

Hello To My Dear Readers 🙂

Thought of writing about stress. A common topic, a word but a real challenge to manage and overcome, but possible. Definition from the I net:

“A state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances”

Stress is not only at work but everywhere. It can be at home, with family, friends and even doing hobbies and during many things in everyday life. We can become stressed doing thing we do not like or even doing things we like to do. The difference is we try to go beyond what we can do, “its like running against time or going against the natural order” There is a pattern a timing for everything in life. True there are times that we do have to quicken our step in order to keep up with this fast moving world, but its not with everything and all the time. In life we have choices and we need to choose correctly 🙂

We need to prioritize in life on how we can manage what we have to do. We cannot do everything all the time. There are things we can and not do according to age limits. We have to accept what we can and cannot do. In short we need to learn to let go of the unnecessary and things we cannot change in life. There is always things we can do, and people whom we can have around who do not stress us. At least one or two good family or friends, who can understand and care for us. There is always jobs and life situations that we can fit into but there is always that exception. In that case we have to change the way we thing and take them as tests !!!

None of us work 24/7 and there is always some free time to relax. Also relaxing does not need a lot of money either. Of course if one can have enough money to spend, there are many expensive ways to relax. But actually relaxing is becoming one with mother nature. The closer you become to mother earth, by ways of food clothes and living the closer you become to a stress free life. It is difficult to lead a complete stress free life in this present times. But there are plenty of simple way to relax and reduce our stress levels and enjoy a balanced and healthy life 🙂

You can see from this chart many many things you can do in order to relax and relieve stress. You will also notice many things are about how to enjoy nature. We are part of The Universe hence part of Mother Earth. We need to live in ways that we are close to nature as much as possible. Even if you lead busy lives in the city, once in a way to go to the beach, rivers, parks, even a swim in a pool will bring your body closer to the natural state. Hope you read up and follow some of them as I do too 🙂

Words Words and Words !

Hello To All My Dear Readers ❤

Hope all of you are well and moving on with life happily. Although I don’t write often there are 2 years of articles that I have written before. To those of you are new, I am a survivor of long term (15 years) depression and now on the path of studying. I have studied personal development and natural health and healing plus trained as an ESL tutor and have worked as an ESL tutor in TAFE Australia. At the present I am studying for a Diploma in psychology to expand my knowledge and also to share what ever I learn and discover for others benefit 🙂

Today I want to write about the power of the spoken words, as so many do not realize how powerful words can be. The one who speak positive words or even sing  with loving kindness and compassion cleanses him or herself as well as those who listen, and around them as well as even the surroundings. These positive energy/vibrations can be also any from of prayers or chanting, which heals, bring joy and happiness to the soul ❤

Harsh and negative words on the other hand, obviously has the opposite effect. People do not realize that what ever the words spoken, harsh or kind first becomes absorbed to the person itself who speaks. So many think when they lash out they hurt the other person, but little do they realize that the words have a bigger impact on the speaker itself before they get to the other person. Those who are kind and compassionate find peace where as those who are unkind and harsh are often stressed and troubled. Which do you choose?

Yes words have a very big impact on all living beings. Even animals as we know how pets and animals react or respond to love and kindness. “Learn to use soft, kind and loving words. They heal and soothes you internally like rocking a baby to sleep” Unkind and harsh works harms you too internally and become toxic and makes the body sick !!!

Actually the words that we say are the thoughts that are working in our minds almost always. Sometimes we ourselves become surprised what comes out of our mouths, we don’t realize those words were the results of how the mind was working.  It is said that we are what our thoughts are. And so it is. Others can gauge/determine what type of a person we are from what topics we talk about, and our use of the words !!!

Actually, “Words are a result of our thoughts. When we have Good Thoughts our words become soft and kind, negative or unkind thinking gives way to harsh and cruel deeds. It’s said, That in advance it is the “Most Powerful force in The Universe” Please know that unlike my former articles, some of what I am writing now are with added knowledge that I am acquiring in the present. The time has come, that I am fast moving on, and I have written most of my past experiences and done with. At the same time I will tell the opposite fact that, “Never say you are broke or bankrupt as the subconscious registers as a picture of emptiness. Instead of seeing all the good things you have it will be the other way around. So make a habit to look our, make a note of the good things you get, you have and live in gratitude 🙂
