Happy Birthday Wikipedia ~ 2025!

Hello To, All My Dear Readers, My Followers and My Blogging Friends. ❤

Hope all of you are in Good Health and getting on in your lives well. Year 2024 has zoomed past and almost coming on to 2026. Today I am writing to say: Happy Birthday to Wikipedia as it is turning 25 years. I refer it often for information for my articles as well as knowledge that it is good to wish and Thank. Yes I did give a gift as well to celebrate. Volunteers from around the world, from all backgrounds and nationalities, choose to help us build this global encyclopedia each day. Wikipedia is now available in 326 languages and receives 5.67 edits every second Beyond the statistics, every edit and article reflects a human story of dedication, passion, and generosity https://www.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia in different languages so more people can create and access knowledge in their mother tongue.




Wikipedia is a free online multilingual encyclopedia written and maintained by a community of volunteers, known as Wikipedians, through open collaboration and the wiki software MediaWiki. Founded by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger in 2001, Wikipedia has been hosted since 2003 by the Wikimedia Foundation, an American nonprofit organization funded mainly by donations from readers.[2] Wikipedia is the largest and most-read reference work in history.

Wikipedia has been praised for enabling the democratization of knowledge, its extensive coverage, unique structure, and culture. Wikipedia’s volunteer editors have written extensively on a wide variety of topics, it has improved over time, receiving greater praise. Articles on breaking news are often accessed as sources for up-to-date information about those events.

Wikipedia was launched on January 15, 2001 (referred to as Wikipedia Day) as a single English language edition with the domain name http://www.wikipedia.com,[ and was announced by Sanger on the Nupedia mailing list. The name originated from a blend of the words wiki and encyclopedia.] Its integral policy of “neutral point of view” arose within its first year. Otherwise, there were initially relatively few rules, and it operated independently.

Wikipedia gained early contributors from Nupedia, Slashdot postings, and web search engine indexing. Language editions were created beginning in March 2001, with a total of 161 in use by the end of 2004. Nupedia and Wikipedia coexisted until the former’s servers were taken down permanently in 2003, and its text was incorporated into Wikipedia. The English Wikipedia passed the mark of 2 million articles on September 9, 2007, making it the largest encyclopedia ever assembled.

Articles for traditional encyclopedias such as Encyclopædia Britannica are written by experts, lending such encyclopedias a reputation for accuracy.

Hope All of You are keeping well and Happy. As usual I am keeping in Good Health and moving forward doing my usual, activities. I thought of Writing an article on Publishing as I am an Author and also a Publisher. That I decided to rewrite some of the old articles with added knowledge and the changes The world has gone through and now it is about “” Languages “Languages! I have not written before, so this is a new post and then I wrote English as a International language English as an International Language! and now about Pronunciation!

Pronunciation (Pronunciationⓘ) is the way in which a word or a language is spoken.This may refer to generally agreed-upon sequences of sounds used in speaking a given word or all language in a specific dialect—”correct” or “standard” pronunciation—or simply the way a particular individual speaks a word or language.

Words’ pronunciations can be found in reference works such as dictionaries. General-purpose dictionaries typically only include standard pronunciations, but regional or dialectal pronunciations may be found in more specific works. Orthoepy is the study of the pronunciation of a language.

A word can be spoken in different ways by various individuals or groups, depending on many factors, such as: the duration of the cultural exposure of their childhood, the location of their current residence, speech or voice their ethnic group, their social class, or their education.

To pronounce “Wikipedia”, you can listen to the audio pronunciation provided by the Cambridge Dictionary. The correct pronunciation is commonly noted as “wik-ih-pee-dee-uh”.

You have to keep on Practicing whenever you are free or even when you go out to the shops or Grocery store or Markets wherever you have interest. The more you read the more you will improve, Does take a little time 🙂

Hope All of You are keeping well and Happy. As usual I am keeping in Good Health and moving forward doing my usual, activities. Zebras inhabit eastern and southern Africa and can be found in a variety of habitats such as savannahs, grasslands, woodlands, shrublands, and mountainous areas. Zebras are primarily grazers and can subsist on lower-quality vegetation. 

The giraffe is a large African hoofed mammal belonging to the genus Giraffa. It is the tallest living  animal and the largest on Earth. It is classified under the family Giraffidae, The giraffe’s distinguishing characteristics are its extremely long neck and legs, and spotted coat patterns.

Jellyfish, also known as sea jellies or simply jellies, Jellyfish are found all over the world, from surface waters to the deep sea.

The lion (Panthera leo) is a large cat currently found only in Sub-Saharan Africa and India. It has a muscular, broad-chested body; a short, rounded head; round ears; and a dark, hairy tuft at the tip of its tail. The lion inhabits grasslands, savannahs, and shrublands

The giant panda also known as the panda bear or simply panda, is a bear to China. It is characterised by its white coat with black patches around the eyes, ears, legs and shoulders. Its body is rotund; adult individuals weigh 100 to 115 kg,

English is either the official language, or one of the official languages, in 57 sovereign states and 30 dependent territories, making it the most geographically widespread language in the world.
