Patience (or forbearance) is the ability to endure difficult circumstances. Patience may involve perseverance (persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success) in the face of delay; tolerance without responding in disrespect when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties, or being able to wait for a long amount of time without getting irritated or bored. Patience is the character trait of being steadfast.

Patience leads to movement and action. Patient people aren’t still. They also haven’t given up, nor are they isolated from reality. On the contrary, the power of patience allows you to save your energy for action. It lets you tap into your intuition so you can better understand when the best time to act is.

Training yourself to be more patient isn’t easy. But if you do your part to develop a more positive and trusting attitude, you’ll be able to deal with stress and set your sights on your own well-being.

It seems to have differing opinions on whether patience is a learned behavior pattern or an innate trait that some people are born with. Whatever the case may be, one thing is clear: Sometimes things make us want immediate results. That’s why it’s difficult to wait for things. People end up feeling impatient when they realize that things aren’t under their control.

A basic, yet effective strategy to regulate these emotions is to develop patience. It’s important to understand that cultivating patience isn’t an easy task. That’s because the brain becomes used to certain thought patterns. If you introduce your brain to a more calm and optimistic approach, it’ll display some resistance. However, it’s possible to cultivate patience.

Studies revealed that, in certain cultures, patience is more meaningful to people due to a very concrete psychological function: self-regulation.

  • Self-regulation is, above all, self-control. In other words, it’s the ability that allows you to manage yourself and your reactions to pressure and outside events.
  • The approaches to working on self-regulation require you to develop the following characteristics:

We have to clarify some ideas about patience. People often understand patience in the wrong way and relate it to passivity, resignation, or the simple ability to wait for something. To get a clearer picture of what it really means, let’s take a look at the pillars of patience. These are characteristics that you should start developing today:

  • Patience is freedom. It’s an emotionally liberating practice that teaches you to wait, observe, and know when to act.
  • Patience is compassion. This aspect of patience implies being respectful to yourself. You shouldn’t be hard on yourself just because you aren’t able to do things the way you expected. You have to help yourself, value yourself, and learn to be your own best ally.
  • Trust and optimism are the seeds of effective patience. Patience implies a certain amount of trust in inertia. You have to believe that things will happen at the right time on their own. Having a mind that goes faster than life itself is useless if everything important

Patience is concentrated strength. It’s also a virtue people who have learned to manage their emotions and thoughts have. These people know that everything has its moment. Sometimes we try to rush through life when it really needs to be enjoyed and appreciated slowly. Relax, slow down, feel confident that you’re moving in the right direction, and rely on the power of patience.

Psychology ~ Resilience!

Hello to, All My Dear Readers, Followers and My Blogging Friends ❤

What Is Resilience? In psychology, resilience is considered a positive adaptation that takes place after a stressful event or an adverse situation. Many psychologists think of resilience as an attitude that can be developed, not a personality trait that people must be born with. Some psychologists also believe that resilience can be strengthened by good hormones which is released when someone is around a person they love. This feeling of connection can help in forming resilience. Resilience is often defined as the mental reservoir of strength that helps people handle stress and hardship.

1Resilient people are able to draw upon this strength to cope and recover from challenges. That’s true even when they face significant traumas, such as job loss, financial problems, serious illness, relationship challenges, Resilience also means understanding that life is full of challenges. While we cannot avoid many of these problems, we can remain open, flexible, and willing to adapt to change.

Strong Social Connections

Whenever you’re dealing with a problem, it is important to have people who can offer support. Talking about the challenges you are facing can be an excellent way to gain perspective, look for new solutions, or simply express your emotions. Resilient people have a network of friends, family members, co-workers, and online support groups to keep them socially connected.5

Characteristics of Resilient People

Resilient people are aware of situations, their own emotional reactions, and the behavior of those around them. By remaining aware, they can maintain control of a situation and think of new ways to tackle problems. In many cases, resilient people emerge stronger after such difficulties. While people vary dramatically in the coping skills they use when confronting a crisis, researchers have identified some key characteristics of resilience.2 Many of these skills can be developed and strengthened, which can improve your ability to deal with life’s setbacks.

Sense of Control

Do you perceive yourself as having control over your own life? Or do you blame outside sources for failures and problems? Generally, resilient people tend to have what psychologists call an internal locus of control.3 They believe that the actions they take will affect the outcome of an event. Of course, some factors are simply outside of our personal control, such as natural disasters. While we may be able to put some blame on external causes, it is important to feel as if we have the power to make choices that will affect our situation, our ability to cope, and our future.

Survivor Mentality

When dealing with any potential crisis, it is essential to view yourself as a survivor. Resilient people avoid thinking like a victim of circumstance and instead look for ways to resolve the problem. While the situation may be unavoidable, they stay focused on a positive outcome.

Emotional Regulation

Resilient people are able to regulate their emotions effectively. The ability to recognize that they are having an emotional response and to understand what is causing the response can help them better handle emotions and cope with the situation at hand.

Self-Compassion

Resilient people are also compassionate toward themselves. They tend to notice when they need to take a break and are able to accept their emotions, which is important for resilience. Self-compassion can help boost overall health and resilience and ensure that you’re ready to face life’s challenges.

How to Ask for Help

While being resourceful is an important part of resilience, it is also essential to know when to ask for help. During a crisis, everyone can benefit from the help of psychologists and counselors specially trained to deal with crisis situations. Other potential sources of assistance include:

  • Books: Reading about people who have experienced and overcome a similar problem can be motivating and suggest ideas on how to cope.
  • Online message boards: Online communities can provide continual support and a place to talk about issues with people who have been in a similar situation.
  • Psychotherapy: If you are having trouble coping with a crisis situation, consulting a qualified mental health professional can help you confront the problem, identify your strengths, and develop new coping skills.6

Support groups: Attending support group meetings is a great way to talk about the challenges you’re facing and to find a network of people who can provide compassion and support.

Resilience is important for mental health and well-being, and luckily, everyone can learn to be resilient. While some people may be naturally more resilient, it’s a skill that you can strengthen. Start by practicing some of the common characteristics of resilient people and focusing on your existing strengths. Don’t get discouraged; becoming more resilient may take time, but the investment will have big payoffs on your health and well-being.

A picture to colour 🙂

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Once You have Read and understood, “There are 10 Questions to answer and Test Your Own Resilience” I will write the score later down here. And where you stand from Your score”!

1. I am calm in a crisis

2. I manage my stress levels well.

3. When something doesn’t go to plan, I learn from it and change my approach next time.

4. I don’t tend to worry about issues that I have no control over.

5. I don’t take criticism personally.

6. I feel confident nd secure in myself.

7. I would describe myself and optimist.

8. I have strong goals that I have a clear plan for achieving.

9. I concentrate on my strengths as opposed to focusing on my weaknesses.

10. I focus more on finding solutions to problems rather than being overwhelmed by them.

Your Total score= __ __

You give marks for yourself, 1 to 5.
In between 1 being not like me at all and 5 being very much like me. Add up your score and, see where you are “Out of 50 marks”!

What your score means from: 10 marks to 50 marks 🙂

1) 10-20:You have low level of Resilience and would benefit developing this area of your life. Luckily Resilience can be honed (improved) so you can feel stronger during tough times.

2) 20-35:You have a good level of Resilience and although you may have bad days, you may veer (change direction) towards an optimistic view or keen to learn from mistakes. Psychology ~ Food!

Hello to, All My Dear Readers, Followers and My Blogging Friends ❤

Hope All of You are keeping in Good Health as much as possible. “Keeping yourself Positive and Motivated as Best as possible in these times” of Health issues. I have been writing about Various ways of Therapies to Become Well” After I wrote about The Therapies itself, Today “I am writing about Psychology of Food!

The psychology behind food and eating is a fascinating topic. There are many psychological connections that affect eating habits. This includes everyone and is something we may all be able to recognize in ourselves. Smart and balanced food choices lead to a healthy lifestyle. Some people it is easy to understand that we eat to satisfy hunger and want to maintain energy levels. Food and eating is one of the most psychologically driven activities we do multiple times a day. The psychology of food and eating!

Good food can be the key to a happy life. When we eat the right food with the nutrients that our bodies long for, we are able to be the best version of ourselves. When we nourish our bodies our energy levels are high, we have a calmness about us. And as you may assume, all of these things promote a better mood. We cannot really keep to exactly “The amounts and kinds of food, as some are not found in All countries” and some can be brought from other countries and very expensive. Actually there are enough things to eat in “A SIMPLE DIET” which is Really Healthy for” The Mind and The Body” 😀

Here are some, “Food Pyramids! Read and see “What is available in your country and what can be Grown and bought at reasonable prices” Some include oily fish, berries, yogurt, whole grains, leafy greens, nuts, and beans.

As we grow and as life takes us through its ups and downs, our bodies change. We change with age, lifestyle, eating habits, emotional stability, etc. And when our bodies change, so does the mental image we have of ourselves. Part of eating healthy food and controlling healthy eating habits is about our physical body. It’s about maintaining or working towards a body that promotes high self esteem. When this is achieved, we feel fit and our mental health can be better.

Food can be natural medicine.  Whole and hearty food can be medicine in and of itself. This is even true for medicines that aid us psychologically. This includes medicines that would typically be prescribed for better health ❤

Vegetables are parts of plants that are consumed by humans or other animals as food. The original meaning is still commonly used and is applied to plants collectively to refer to all edible plant matter, including the flowersfruitsstemsleavesroots, and seeds. It may exclude foods derived from some plants that are fruits, flowersnuts, and cereal grains, but include savoury fruits such as tomatoes and courgettesflowers such as broccoli, and seeds such as pulses. Originally, vegetables were collected from the wild by hunter-gatherers and entered cultivation in several parts of the world, Vegetables can be eaten either raw or cooked and play an important role in human nutrition, being mostly low in fat and carbohydrates, but high in vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber. Many nutritionists encourage people to consume plenty of fruit and vegetables, five or more portions a day often being recommended. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegetable.

. Now The picture Below is just to make you smile also 😀

Most of these these foods they’re definitely not hard to find. There are some Foods. Fruits Vegetables “That does not grow or are seen in some countries. But so many others will be grown and also not expensive, in Farms and even in their own out side space or even in or outside containers. Need not be even in Fancy containers. I have seen cooks and chefs growing in ordinary Tins, They say People need not throw but make use of any container that one can put some soil and grow. Some examples include oily fish, berries, yogurt, whole grains, leafy greens, nuts, and beans.

There are some Foods. Fruits Vegetables “That does not grow or are seen in some countries. But so many others will be grown and also not expensive, in Farms and even in their own out side space or even inside (where there have to be sun and fresh air) or outside containers. Need not be in Fancy containers. I have seen cooks and chefs growing in ordinary Tins. And pick some while cooking! They say People need not throw but make use of any container that one can put some soil and grow. See below, One is an old Tub some are Tins! Here are some Foods. Fruits Vegetables I have seen cooks and chefs growing in ordinary Tins, They say People need not throw but make use of any container that one can put some soil and grow.

I think some are not aware how plants are grown 😀 Here are some pictures of seeds put in the soil, and some in pots. And how some vegetables have come out. Of course some can be planted from Branches also!

Below are Green beans, Potatoes and Green Chilies. Green ones becomes Red once they are Ripe!

Ultimately, food is not just about filling our stomachs. Food and eating is a psychological activity that we all engage in throughout our days. We need to eat slower, considering whether you are actually hungry or not, listening to your body when it is full, and recognizing your behaviors and patterns with your food. Who knew that something we have been naturally doing since birth had so many psychological factors and connections?

Finally Moderation, balance, and variety all align quite well with food and eating habits. When food and eating habits are balanced, both Physical and mental health can be balanced as well. When we allow ourselves to enjoy food that makes us happy in moderation, we can feel satisfied. When we change up our diet and welcome in new flavors, the variety may keep us excited. These three things are all psychological connections to food that for many people can lead to a happy state of Good Health ❤

Hope what I have Written and The Picture Quotes will help you To “Understand Further about Usefulness and also Lots of pictures of even how to plant a seeds and plants. Do you want some of these vegetables? Wink 😛

As usual I have taken a “Lot of Time and effort to “Do Reference, find Good and Different Pictures from “The I net, Books and Magazines for Useful Ideas and of course “My Knowledge and Experiences ❤

Psychology ~ Promises!

Hello to, All My Dear Readers, Followers and My Blogging Friends ❤

Hope All of You are keeping in Good Health as much as possible. “Keeping yourself Positive and Motivated as Best as possible in these times” of Health issues. I have been writing about Various ways of Therapies to Become Well” After I wrote about The Therapies itself, Today “I am writing about Psychology of Promises or Trust also!

“First, maintaining good relations with other people does not require a superhuman effort. Do what you promise you’ll do, and people are grateful. “Keeping a promise is valued so highly, above and beyond its ‘objective’ value. When you keep a promise, not only have you done something nice for someone but you’ve also fulfilled a social contract and shown that you’re a reliable and trustworthy person.

Promises carry a tangible psychological weight. Numerous psychological and economic studies show just how seriously we take making (and breaking) promises. Studies back it up: keeping a promise isn’t emphasized simply because people fear the repercussions, but rather because they prefer keeping their word. It makes people feel good. And this doesn’t seem to change among cultures: keeping your word is a universal value. Each of the world’s three largest faiths forbids breaking an oath.

A kept promise ratio is a universal metric, but you can tailor how and when the promise is made. It’s not just a catch-all feature. It’s bespoke and can be applied anywhere. Keeping a promise is valued so highly, above and beyond its ‘objective’ value. When you keep a promise, not only have you done something nice for someone but you’ve also fulfilled a social contract and shown that you’re a reliable and trustworthy person.”
