I don’t know if this topic is relevant to everyone, but We all know that mental illnesses are not recognized and understood, even by some of the so-called educated people. Why I say, “so called educated people” is, if people are really educated, then they cannot be ignorant of the fact that mind becomes ill just like the body. As where is the mind? In the body! Then how can mind not become unwell? Then why does mental illnesses are not understood?

It is well known that world over sad moods (over long term are named as depression) is a serious issue threatening the future. The world Health Organization has stated that depression will be the biggest cause of health burden by 2030. So many kind and compassionate people are working, fighting to ease this problem in various fields, not only in the field of medicine. Communities have got together as groups, clubs to work towards helping in healing through hobbies, sports, physical and many mental therapeutic activities as well ❤

Wellness 2What I am doing also here in my blog is, in a small way is contributing my knowledge and experiences towards those who can make use of them to know that they also can control and recover enough to be well and lead a normal and happy life. It is to show by example, “To give Faith and Hope” to become well and Happy ❤

But as life has it, I am having to deal with an issue of, not only of ignorance but, “Knowingly trying to disturb me” In these circumstances what would you do? Do you think it is a kind and compassionate thing to do to another human being who has gone through such an ordeal through years and lifted her head up, and now is working towards the benefit of others, quietly with no harm or disturbance to anyone? What motive and mind set do you think this type of people have? As in the society there are many types of destructive people. How do you deal with them?

At the present stage of my life, I have learnt to take them as, challenges. We do face challenges from time to time, but we can deal with them in many ways. Overcoming long term sadness/depression is not a small task, that shows, “Strength, Courage and Patience”, and above all Faith in the Powers above. I pray for good health, in happiness, thankfulness and gratitude, daily morning and night, for myself and others also ❤

The meaning of Light actually is “Enlightenment” It is Knowledge that Helps to overcome the Ignorance. My name by birth itself is, “Light” negativity can never affect me. So how can those who are morally deteriorated, put me down or anyone else who lives according to the “Laws of The Universe” for that matter. “Do Not, ever get discouraged or let anyone put you down for no reason” Take every experience, as a challenge, to gain strength, courage and confidence and to achieve your goals and Win ❤

What is Depression?

Hello To, All My Dear Readers Followers and My Blogging Friends ❤

I am re-doing some of the posts and this is exactly from 2 years ago and after. Looking back, “Its amazing, the journey I have come so far, in healing myself and advancing my knowledge, working, studying” and going about in life as, “A Complete normal human being” Actually I am a much stronger and knowledgeable person now as a result of all the experiences I had experienced through the Journey. This is because I made a concentrated effort in becoming well, making use of all the help I could get and above all, myself working towards healing 🙂

Why I am writing like this is for those of you who are reading to have “Hope and Faith” and to “Believe in becoming well in time, with medication, counselling and/or psychotherapy”. It is possible to control and send the dragon back into its cave where it came from. In other words it goes into remission as it happens with so many other physical illnesses too. In becoming well, I have the opportunity in Enlightening and Guiding others who are in need of, I should say “Hope” to know that you also have that chance, the ability to, become well enough to lead a “Life of Happiness and Joy that you deserve” ❤

This is an general explanation of Low moods also called Depression: (Which one doesn’t have to have all the symptoms all the time) it is being sad for a long time, and also known as darkness because, if you are depressed, you do not see the full colours of life. Meaning your eye tend not to attract bright colours, things even the clothes you wear and choose, tend to be dull. Just like when its a rainy day and the sky is dark and all around you is dull. Also you may lack energy, feel lethargic, lack of appetite, sleep, at the same time drowsiness, and feeling of dullness in general towards living. “When you can please, find someone who Understand You even friends. You have to TRY your VERY BEST to do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE, to become energized and full of enthusiasm to get on with life. Which I am now. “Deepa” my name given according to my birth time means, “Light” Light has two meanings ~ Being “Positive and Bright”, as well as “Enlightening in knowledge”. So somehow years ago, according to my birth time this was the suitable name which was given by “My Grandfather. It’s said we are born with a plan? So was I born for exactly this purpose?  In that case, is it why I went through all these challenges to overcome, for a purpose? Time will give the answers? And it has 🙂

Time has given the answers as, “Since December 2013 I was cleared from counselling, being said that I had come back to normal by my psychiatrist”. A word I never expected to have heard in my entire life. Suddenly the clouds had moved away, and out came the sun. Become Positive and well” The moment you become “Positive and well”, its just like the sun has come out and you see the world in all its glory 🙂 The world opened up to me “Full of Positivity and Colour” 🙂

February 2016: I am keeping in Very Good Health and I have begun to receive this Healing energies to my hands. I have gained something that no one can take it away from me. It is something I have earned, “Through sheer hard work, Sacrifices, Sharing and Giving, Loving Kindness” and above all being “Truthful and Honest” ~ “The Powers, The Gifts, The Energies”, are not something that one can achieve easily. I had to take the full journey: cross all rivers, climb all mountains, do what ever to answer, “to fall in line with, “The Universal Energy” which is also called “Healing or Pranic energy” Energy Healing!. This is our life force energy which is also called, “Prana” in Sanskrit, “chi” in China and “ki” in Japan. As we know, energy can travel so, “Prayer energy which also called Healing Energy” can travel far and wide to distant places too ❤

It’s strange how life has taken a turn as what I wanted to do was Botany, as I loved plants. I did not want to do medicine or to be a doctor, but now I have and still am studying and reading on Psychology, Health and various other topics on life and even writing simple poetry as well. We can all study and Learn all through out our lives. We are all born for some specific purpose and it seems that “This is my Purpose, my Mission”. Aren’t I glad that I have got such a mission in my hands 🙂

People go through hard times in their lives due to so many different reasons. Being physically ill, problems in jobs, professions, lack of money and/or family/children problems. And sometimes all or many of these come together. People looking from outside, do not see what is going in others personal lives, and can discourage and hurt others with no reason. Someone who is going through a very hard time, might completely go off track, by some insensitive and ignorant people’s attitude and, pushing them further into sadness and ill health. Being upset, they might even think of doing things “Not Positive or Healthy for them”. So “THINK CAREFULLY” before you say or do anything harsh without knowing what others are going through. “These are the times that the human mind cannot take it and it becomes unwell”. So always be aware, just because someone is well dressed and smiling there can be lot going on unseen within !!!Heal 10
The word that people use saying broken, is that your mind becomes unwell just like the body. Your spirit can be dampened, and it becomes too much for the mind and it begins to become unwell and then physically also one can become unwell, as the mind is also in the physical self, in short in the head somewhere. Its not only people who stresses or make you unwell, mother nature also does that with floods, volcanoes and many other tricks up her sleeves, and some can go on for a long time than you want to. This is why I am writing that it is possible for most of you to bring it down, keep it under control, if not fully to some extent, enough to lead a stress free life. If after a long time. I overcame my sad moods. So can you. When you have too many issues your head is over working trying to find solutions. Its mostly stress that you get headaches and most of the other illnesses. Its like a chess game inside your head, trying to figure out the best ways to overcome the problems and solve the difficult situations. You are able to organize and find better ways to do things and learn how to manage the situations better 🙂

Please do not look down upon people who have mental issues. Being mentally unwell is Not an unnatural thing. Through stress, sadness which sometimes is not their fault that they become confused and unwell. This labeling and looking down upon people is All wrong. All people have a right to lead a life of Peace and Happiness ❤

“It is this stigma that is preventing a lot of people going for help to the doctor that is making them more ill. Mental illnesses are supposed to be rising according to “WHO” (World Health Organization). What They think is by 2030 Depression is going to be the biggest cause of health burden in the world. I am sure glad that I am on the, RIGHT SIDE OF LIFE, ENCOURAGING and SUPPORTING PEOPLE TO LIVE HEALTHY and HAPPY. Lets Hope Things Improve and The numbers get less. I Sincerely Wish “All People to Overcome and Lead Happy and Normal Lives ❤ 

Be Brave and seek out help. Don’t let anything spoil your life. You have the right to lead a good life ❤

Once you begin to talk, you help yourself to feel good to love and care for yourself. As none of us are born perfect. Sometimes its not seen why somethings happened to us. No one makes a mistake or takes a wrong turn if they know that it will not work well. It is reaching out to the closest thing, or a person, “As your fist instinct is to live well as this is how we are born” You are born to live well and live to tell your story to others to lift them up too 🙂

Talk 1Its not only our problems and struggles, our successes and winnings also can be turned into stories to help others. “I am touching on the good side too” As so many harp on the bad side and do not see the good they have. This is a result of my being positive. Now I can look from both sides of life. And “Make Note” One can Take “Guidance from others too, need not be anything wrong but for Advice”!

It is said that those who have gone through any physical or mental stress themselves can understand another’s pain or hardships better. Someone who never had a headache would find it hard to understand another’s pain in the head. But one doesn’t have to undergo to understand another’s feelings all the time. As all human beings have feelings, and are intelligent and have a brain to think and analyze what is right and wrong!

We don’t go through all the experiences ourselves in one life. How I became well is “LEARNING” from a combination of others experiences, my knowledge from very young days. As I wrote before: Even from The I net, books, magazines and other sources I came across. Each and everyone goes through some kind of experience, at some stage of their lives. Sometimes back when I posted this in my group, someone commented this is because, they feel the pinch. Well I am a survivor. I did fight to win over low moods. We all have to, “WORK HARD” to achieve what we want in life. I feel quite good that in spite of being named the light, I experienced some hard times managed to come out Positive and became what I am today. How I became well is from a combination of others experiences, my knowledge from very young days. Even from books, magazines and other sources I came across. Back to myself and even with, “More Experience and Knowledge to Guide Others to Lead a Better Life of Good Health and Happiness 🙂

I have been reading some articles and according to the latest statistics, mental illnesses have been going up and “The word Health Organization has stated that depression will be the biggest cause of health burden in the world by 2030”. This something that should be taken on seriously, as so many Lives are at stake. Millions world over supposed to be going through low moods also called depression and many other mental issues. What is Depression?  There are So many under This Topic: Healing ~ Desire To Heal!

It is annoying that so many people “Even those who are highly educated “are still not aware that the mind also can become unwell and can become “Well and Heal too”. Or with some people keep it under control with “Counselling and Medication” well enough “To lead a normal life just like everyone else to Lead a Life of Happiness and Joy” ❤ ❤ ❤

One in seven supposed to, experience major depression in their life time. But 70% of them will not seek treatment. One of the main reasons for this is supposed to be Stigma:

The other reasons are not having access to formal mental health treatment due to being in remote areas, the cost and time limitations. The result of this is people becoming unwell and unable to work or to lead their lives in the normal way and also doing things that is not helpful for your life and giving sadness to their loved ones. In the past it was said that counselling online is of little help, now research has clearly shown that self-guided, online psychological therapy is effective for most people experiencing low moods or depression regardless of severity or back ground. Researchers has also shown that, “E-Mental Health programs can be used to, “Reduce and Prevent the onset of Mental Issues in Young people”. Also “There is evidence that, “Clinically developed Online Psychology Therapy provides a Highly effective and Accessible Solution for this growing problem!

It has been shown and proven that “E-Mental Health programs significantly Reduce Depression and Anxiety symptoms. People are able to find and go through, “Self  Guided internet-Based Cognitive Behavioural  Therapy from their Computers, Tablets or even Smart Phones! 

What is: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy?

Donald Meichenbaum, Ph.D. above, is  a founder of “Cognitive Behavioral Modification” and has been voted one of the 10 most influential psychotherapists of the Century. Dr. Meichenbaum is Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and maintains a private practice as a clinical psychologist. He was voted one of the Ten Most Influential Psychotherapists of the Century by North American Therapists in a 1999 American Psychologist Survey . He is considered one of the most cited psychological researchers at Canadian universities. In this way, “Clients can Move from being Clients to ~ “Strong Willed Survivors” and “Successful People ~ Dr. Donald Meichenbaum, Ph.D.

Dr. Meichenbaum uses these questions to evaluate the “Outcome of, “The Therapy”:
1. Are clients now able to describe “A New Life Story about themselves and the World”?
2. Do clients now use more Positive Metaphors to Describe Themselves?
3. Are clients now able to “Predict high-risk situations and Employ Coping Skills in emerging problems”?
4. Are clients able to “Take Credit for the changes”, “They have been able to bring about”?

In Successful Therapy Clients, “Develop Their Own Voices Take Pride in what They have Accomplished, and “Take Ownership of The Changes they are bringing about”. In short, “CLIENTS BECOME THEIR OWN THERAPISTS and TAKE THE THERAPISTS VOICE WITH THEM” ❤

Another Very Important fact is “Gratitude” There is much to the meaning of Gratitude. How I was trained was to, write 5 Gratitudes daily and, gradually I was looking for new things that I am Grateful to write, and without my knowledge my mind was slowly changing to a positive way of thinking. So that was a very big step, in lifting myself from the low moods I was having at the time. You can start by whatever things you are Grateful for but it has to be new ones everyday. Below is something of an example: What is Gratitude?

Each of you will have different things and people to be grateful for according to how your life is. Whatever way, the important thing is, to be aware when good things happen and you acknowledge for all that and to be grateful for them. But now after sometime: 11th December 2020 I am able to say I have gone through counselling, Medication and all what I have ben saying and in my case, and overcome completely and in Good Health and Leading a Normal Life. When Rejected ~ Find Acceptance!

Hello to All My Dear Readers, Followers and Blogging Friends ❤

Thanking everyone who read and follow, and especially seeing many of you have liked, gives me great satisfaction and encouragement to do better. This is sort of a continuation from the last article as I touched on rejection. Please excuse me for taking a little time in writing answers to some of your requests on, how to deal with it. I have to get into that mindset to write. Slowly my mind begins to fill up with ideas and then, suddenly I get this great need to write it, to free my mind of it. It’s like baking a cake. Once done you have to take it out of the oven, and of course you can’t eat the article, but you can read and share and eat “The cake” 😀

For those of you who are reading for the first time, you have to know that what I am writing is, “Mostly my own firsthand knowledge through my experiences gone/going through in life” and of course in my mind there is knowledge from far back as I can remember even as a child, books the internet and also what I absorb and observe (see) from other people’s lives as well. “We all know we do not nor cannot have all round knowledge and experiences in every aspect of life. And this is why we read and learn from others too, to expand our knowledge and learn to improve our lives there by giving and sharing” ❤

Why I needed some time was, I was thinking exactly, “How to counteract rejection. As rejection is something we all face at certain times in various ways and from various people and situations, right from the beginning of our lives from our childhood, not just from one person or once or twice” Also we know all these are challenges that, “All human beings go through at some stage or other in their lives”, as I have written again and again before too. Why? By overcoming difficulties, we become stronger, so that we become stronger to face the challenges life throws at us, and learn to live a happier and a better quality of life in Peace and Harmony ❤

So what does rejection do exactly ? What you feel in your mind, is also felt by the body/physically. It has been shown scientifically that the regions of the brain activated in response to rejection are the same as those activated by physical pain. Rejection also has a negative impact on the immune system and affects our sense of self-worth or self-esteem. And this leaves us insecure and with a diminished sense of belonging. What do we do then ? First make sure or clarify that we have not misunderstood what ever maybe. Be it a person or a situation. If not then we need to find the antidote. What is that 😀

The antidote to rejection is, “Acceptance, Appreciation, Understanding, Caring and above all with Loving kindness” We need to find people and situations where these are found. But sometimes it may be you are alone or isolated. Or the exact times you want, you cannot find such things or people. In that case we can do things on our own too, that we like, to make ourselves Happy. Even if you have others, having some, “Me time” is very important. Doing things for others when you can, gives a very big satisfaction, “In giving you receive” Also for me writing all this ~ knowing so many of you Care, Read, Appreciate and Benefit ❤

It’s Us that exactly know what “We need and like, so We can do things for ourselves, To Take Care of ourselves even in small ways, to make us feel “Relaxed and Positive” These can be anything according to each person’s personality. There are lot of things one can do, that agrees with what each one likes to do. Although people do not realize, even housework if you like a neat house, is therapeutic and helpful. I love to keep a neat house, so I like housework, cook for myself and even for my family and others 🙂

It will sound surprising, but washing clothes and dishes is said to be Therapeutic and helpful that is for those who like to wash dishes and plates. which I also do 🙂

I do a lot of reading, listening to soothing music, gardening, colouring also relaxes the mind ~ what I have posted below ~ we can find anything to colour. I have even bought children’s colouring books that anyone can colour, or those who can even paint and draw ❤

It can be meditation, a relaxing bath, or just sitting in nature quietly to free you mind. When all what is going on in your life is in you head, it gets to a point where your mind gets, “Saturated ~ it’s like you have overeaten” This is called by the all-famous name, “Stress” and you need some quiet time to relax – to detox and clear, your mind. It’s just like clearing your house its, de-cluttering your mind!!!

Silence. The best treatment for stress. Some can and do meditate very seriously. But if you sit in silence and relax your mind that is more than enough ❤

In ordinary life, you don’t really need to sit and meditate very seriously sitting for hours. Generally, what it means is “Being mindful all the time of what you are thinking, saying and doing “. Some do meditate very seriously. But if you sit in silence and relax your mind, that is more than enough, to calm the mind and find Peace ❤

You can walk around or sit in nature, even near water, rivers or even the sea and watch the waves go up and down. When you mind is at Peace, you become very Relaxed. Then you fall in line with the beat of “Mother Nature”. As we are all part of her. Whatever the colour, race or religion, If all people think of this, “The world will be a much better place to live isn’t it”!!!
