Who I am Now & Why I am Writing!

Hello To All My Dear Readers 🙂

This is another New Beginning and continuation of My Journey on: iammypath.com since I began Four Years ago on 28th September 2015, from Who I am & Why I am Writing! I have come a long way and “I am in Very Good Health, Body and Mind”, ending one chapter of My Journey and Beginning the Next chapter, ***Not only have I acquired ~ ***The Gift of Healing Hands*** 🙂

Dr. Gerald Corey:Born:1937 (age 82 years) Gerald Corey is a Professor Emeritus of Human Services at California State University at Fullerton; He received his doctorate in counseling from the University of Southern California. a Diplomate in Counseling Psychology, American Board of Professional Psychology; a licensed psychologist in California; a National Certified Counselor. (Division 17, Counseling Psychology; and Division 49, Group Psychotherapy); a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Counseling Psychology); a Fellow of the American Counseling Association; and a Fellow of the Association for Specialists in Group Work. He also holds memberships in the American Group  Psychotherapy Association; the American Mental Health Counselors Association; the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling; the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision; and Western Association of Counselor Education and Supervision.
Dr. Corey teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in group counseling, as well as courses in experiential groups, the theory and practice of counseling, and ethics in counseling. He is the author or co-author of 15 counseling textbooks currently in print as well as numerous journal articles. Along with his wife, Marianne Schneider Corey, Dr. Corey has conducted group counseling training workshops for mental health professionals at many universities in the United States, as well as in Canada, Mexico, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Germany, Belgium, Scotland, England, and Ireland. They received the Association for Specialists in Group Work’s Eminent Career Award in 2001. Dr. Donald Meichenbaum, Ph.D. is  a founder of Cognitive Behavioral Modification and has been voted one of the 10 most influential psychotherapists of the Century. Dr. Meichenbaum is Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and maintains a private practice as a clinical psychologist. As an expert in the treatment of PTSD, Dr. Meichenbaum has presented throughout North and Central America, Israel, Japan, and the former Soviet Union.  This workshop presents the essence of Dr. Donald Meichenbaum’s approach to  PTSD.  As a clinician and researcher, he has treated all age groups for traumas suffered from violence, abuse, accidents, and illness.Dr. Meichenbaum is the author and co-author of numerous books including: A  Clinical Handbook/Practical Therapist Manual for Assessing and Treating Adults with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Stress Inoculation Training, Pain and Behavioral Medicine, and Facilitating Treatment Adherence.  His book, Cognitive Behavior Modification: An Integrative Approach, is considered a classic in its field.  He also serves as the editor of the Plenum Press Series on Stress and Coping ~ https://www.psychalive.org/donald-meichenbaum-ph-d/

**** Dr. Meichenbaum uses these questions to evaluate the “Outcome of, “The Therapy”:
1. Are clients now able to tell, “A New Story about themselves and the World”?
2. Do clients now use more Positive Metaphors to Describe Themselves?
3. Are clients now able to “Predict high-risk situations and Employ Coping Skills in emerging problems”?
4. Are clients able to “Take Credit for the changes, “They have been able to bring about”?

**** In Successful Therapy Clients, “Develop Their Own Voices Take Pride in what They have Accomplished, and “Take Ownership of The Changes they are bringing about”. In short, “CLIENTS BECOME THEIR OWN THERAPISTS and TAKE THE THERAPISTS VOICE WITH THEM” 🙂

Healing ~ Basic Steps!

Hello To All My Dear Readers ❤

Heal 10I have written this article at the very beginning in, October 2015 and I see not many have read. Also there are requests to write the basic steps in detail. So I am writing it again with, “New experiences and knowledge I have gained over a period of over 3 years” as today is: 14th February 2019 🙂

Stigma 4
This is a short article explaining about Trauma. When you experience deep sadness or grief, it is referred as Trauma. (a deeply distressing or disturbing experience) It can be physical too, then its to do with the body. (Psychological trauma is a type of damage to the mind that occurs as a result of a severely distressing event. Trauma is often the result of an overwhelming amount of stress that exceeds one’s ability to cope, or integrate the emotions involved with that experience. A traumatic event involves one’s experience, or repeating events of being overwhelmed that can be precipitated in weeks, years, or even decades as the person struggles to cope with the immediate circumstances, eventually leading to serious, long-term negative consequences ~ Courtesy Wikipedia!

Why people get hurt or sad is, when they are criticized, put down, controlled or blamed continuously, and when they feel they don’t deserve it and it’s wrong and unfair. If they are guilty of any wrong doings, then deep in their hearts they know they have done it and they do deserve some of it. But when they feel they don’t deserve it, the insults, the harsh Words Words and Words ! affects one’s hearts and makes wounds that will be difficult and take a long time to heal!

Heal 17
These are what stays on collecting inside you, weighing you down, making you feel miserable and low. So when too many things happen all at once, and then the last thing can be like what is said, ” The last straw that breaks the Camel’s back” that will finally push you over, which will lead to break downs. Break downs doesn’t happen if there is support, love and care around. But the thing is sometimes how ever much you have people around you, they may not know, nor will some really understand as to what you are going through. As usually it is difficult for so many to understand unless, “They have experienced themselves so sometimes sadly  it can be that, “The very ones who should be “Caring and supporting you, will be the ones who will (That Thing called Stress !!!) stress and be unhelpful for you to heal”!

Its difficult to tell what to do in this situations as for each person the circumstances are different, as well as for each person the strength of the mind also is different. So anytime you do feel overly stressed and unable to handle them alone, and/or, if your low moods do not go away, please do go and see a doctor and get help. In some countries You are able to go to psychiatrist itself. In some countries, “You have to first go to a GP. Usually the method is to go to a GP “(general practitioner) ~ In the medical profession, a general practitioner (GP) is a medical doctor who treats acute and chronic illnesses and provides preventive care and health education to patients” ~ Courtesy of the I net!

Heal 20
As that will avoid a long and unnecessary sad feelings to you and, to so many people, who depend on you too sometimes in your family. Above all your life is valuable and your health is a very important part of it. And you alone have to know where to draw the line and safe guard and take care of yourself. Its your life and you are the caretaker of Yourself no one else 🙂

Stress 1a
Whether it is mild or severe, pain is pain in different amounts. And when it comes to Healing from ~ Depression !, we have to let our feelings of stress out, meaning speak out and discuss with the counselors, doctors and therapists or who ever you are dealing with. Also you need to discuss with your closest, and that is your family members, as they are the people whom you come across almost daily, and the most important people that need to know what is going on with you, as otherwise they will not know how to support you ❤ ~ Healing ~ Trauma !

I know sometimes how hard it is when you cannot get over the low mood. It seems to go on, but know that, “You can control enough and get over with, “Counselling and Psychotherapy ! and Medication”. I am writing like this is because “I have overcome the sad feelings” over time with all this, and working on myself, with “Dedication over time with Patience”. It may seem a hard and difficult task when you feel down, but TRUST me if I have become better, so “Can You” But You need to “Be Strong and Kind and Patient with Yourself” You may or may not have help from your family and friends to support you, but understand again, “That those who have not gone through, are unable to fully understand how and what You feel, and You might feel not supported, “But you can try and explain yourself or even much better, “To get your doctor or your counselor to explain to them. In the mean time have “Faith and Patience in Yourself ❤

Heal 9
At the times You feel well enough, try and read self help books, or go through the Online Psychological Therapy ! I net to find answers and advice too from good sites. At times try to relax and even take a nap, if you don’t feel like doing anything, it may be you need to rest so give in and try to sleep. You will relax and feel better. I know there will be those who advice You with all good intentions, like doing a (Things We Love to Do!) Hobby. But When we cannot even think straight or eat properly, “How can one do a Hobby? You can if you already have one and/or feel up to it. “The important thing is to find something that you will, “Really Like to Do” ❤

Stress 1
It can be drawing, painting, even housework or cooking your favourite dish, or anything that will distract you and make you, “Look forward in Doing”. Or it can be simple as, (We Each have Our Own Path!)” Just sitting and looking out of the window at the sky to see how the clouds go by and the birds fly or how the moon comes up and the stars”. Know and follow what works best for You ❤

I have now realized that with medical help of counselling and medication, and on our part if we work hard on becoming well with, “Dedication, Persistence and Perseverance”, We can make progress in getting over most of the effects of trauma and, “Ultimately learn to put back the past and lead a Successful Success in Life! and Happy Life. Why don’t you try it too ❤ I wish you so and have Strength and Patience to do so ❤

You are Stronger than You Think!

Know That, “It MATTERS to ME that YOU become Well and I CARE ❤ and it “Hurts me to Feel that you feel hurt or sad” 😦  I know how it hurts when people are unkind or cruel. And sometimes things do not work the way you want. “DO NOT GIVE UP IN ANYWAY” or try to do things that will harm you Please ❤ Know that You can Heal Healing ~ Taking Full Responsibility ! Try and some how “HOLD ON” If you can try and “TALK” to someone who can be Kind and Listen To You ❤

I Hope all these will Be Helpful at times when you feel alone and/or when your feel a little dim. Trust me, if you can listen to some uplifting music, (as doing other things might too much for you, at certain times). it really helps, it does for me. If you can listen a little loud all the better 😛 but of course it might be you have to listen through the headphones, not to disturb the others, I do Love Music and when I am listening I listen through the headphones, if you like to dance or do some movements even better 😛 As dancing relaxes you and get all the Happy Hormones to work This is a Beautiful video I was sent by a friend and now I am passing on for those who will like and to pass it on for your friends and Loved ones for them to feel Good too ❤

You need to Be Strong and have Courage Courage to Heal ~ Depression ! Always have Faith, and Hope. Remember You Matter and Keep Going. The World Needs You 🙂 ❤

End The Stigma!

Hello To All My Dear Readers ❤

So many have appreciated and given a good response to my first article, End The Stigma ~ Discrimination Stops with You! that I am bringing you further information and proof that, we need to end the stigma on, “Mental Health” and see that those who need help in making their minds well, are free and able to seek medical help, and become well and be healthy and happy people, to be an asset to the progress of the society and the world ❤

We all know that, the mind is also in our body and we need to have both our body and mind in good health to be able to lead a normal and happy life, for ourselves and to be of help to others. We do take care of our eyes, teeth and other parts of our body isn’t it. So why not the mind too. So You need to, “TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF YOURSELF AND BE KIND TO YOURSELF” ❤

What some people are not aware is that even as children, those who become unwell or have certain issues while growing up, they need to have medical help. Or they will grow up to be sick and confused adults, not knowing who they are and what they need to do in their lives and become a problem to their families, the society and the world!

All walks of life are concerned, and so many are working towards a society and a world of people who are healthy in their mind as well as the body ❤

You Matter 4
Those of you who are reading, and seeing all these posts, now need to be able to feel that, “YOU ARE NOT ALONE” ~ “YOU ARE JUST LIKE ANY OTHER HUMAN BEING” ~ “YOU ARE VALUABLE” and do not be shy or afraid to go to a doctor, or some medical help anytime you have issues with your mind. “IT IS NOT BEING MAD” as some people think. “IT IS JUST THAT YOUR MIND ALSO HAS THE RIGHT TO BE A LITTLE ILL and NEED SOME MEDICATION and LOVING KINDNESS” ~ “IT IS YOUR LIFE AND IT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU” ~ “YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF” ❤

I hope reading all these has inspired and encouraged you to seek help and become, “The SURVIVOR from ~ The Victim” and in turn to tell, “YOUR STORY” to others to encourage them too” And, “HELP END THE STIGMA”? YOU CAN AND YOU WILL ❤

End The Stigma ~ Discrimination Stops with You!

I hope you all enjoyed reading the first two articles on the chakras Chakra Healing!. I am taking a break and writing on a very important topic which is about the, “Stigma in Mental Health” The reason I thought of writing this topic is, now after almost 5 years since it was declared that, “I HAVE FULLY RECOVERED”, there are some who are still trying to classify me as unwell. This is happening not only to me, BUT so many and this is why “PEOPLE ARE RELUCTANT TO GO FOR MEDICAL HELP AND THEREBY RESULTING IN VALUABLE TIME AND ASSETS ARE LOST!!!

The disappointing fact is, this is to do with some people whom I thought knew me very well, these people seems not to have, “Any sort of experiences, knowledge and are clueless about mental health to know that, “I have come so far in attaining knowledge not only on mental health BUT also on other matters in life. And now, “I am mentally healthy and also a motivator” I cannot understand how some can see me otherwise ~ As now I am carrying “Therapist Voice Forward” Who I am Now & Why I am Writing! ❤

I have written before too, that millions world over are going through depression Healing from ~ Depression ! and other mental health problems. And the world Health Organisation has stated that depression Healing ~ Desire To Heal ! will be the biggest cause of health burden by 2030!

In Australia alone, one in seven experience major depression Courage to Heal ~ Depression ! in their life time. But 70% of them will not seek treatment. One of the main reasons for this is the stigma. This is actually common almost world over. But why does it have to be different from being physically sick?

The Power of Your Amazing Brain: The conscious mind controls our minds only 5% of the day and the subconscious mind holds of our Thoughts 95% of the time!

66.66667% FAT…..The Brain is 2/3 fats. Myelin, the protective sheath covering your neurons is 70% fat. Eating fatty fish, Green Leafy Vegetables, Olive Oil, Avocados, Chia seeds, Flax seeds and nuts replenish Your neurons and Brain Cells.

You have 70,000 thoughts per day!

Thoughts are real.  Your thoughts cause biological and physiological effect – Your body responds to mental input as if it were physically real.

When there are so many who support and work towards improving mental health and acknowledge mental illness are also, just like physical illnesses, there are some others even highly educated, who are foolish enough to be ignorant of what mental illnesses are. And this is what is causing the stigma and preventing people seeking medical help to get themselves better!Stigma 2There are so many who suffer from various physical illnesses. They do get better and overcome them, even cancer goes into remission and then they go about as normal human beings. Then Why? when the mind becomes ill and becomes well and/or goes into remission they can never get over the label as mentally ill? Power of the Mind ! Mind is also part of the body, it is not outside floating somewhere! Why cannot people as human beings with good brain power cannot think of this?

As someone who has completely overcome, why I am writing is, to do my duty even in a small way, in standing up for those who are going through their own problems. As, if as many as those who can speak out on behalf of the people who are in need of support and enlighten the society, the world what mental issues are, the world will be a better place with more healthy and happy people 🙂Stigma 3Are you ready to support? To stand up? Or are you one of those who try to push and see others fall? But the fact is, we are all connected. All of us are energy and one goes down it affects all the others like the ripples in the water. Why is it that some are unable to support others and see them rise up? As, “We Rise by Lifting Others” Are you Ready to support to, “Stop the Stigma”? We are all soul brothers and sisters. One family that belongs to each other!
